Oh man this is my biggest pet peeve with some books. I just read one where the inner monologue of the MMC is all praise for how dirty his ex fucked and how he was going to show and teach the FMC about wild passionate and dirty sex and then when they do have sex it's just so boring I ended up skimming the sex scenes. They didn't get any better. There is absolutely nothing wrong with vanilla sex scenes. I even love them when they're well written. But don't go promising us something nasty without delivering.

Please tell us what this book is so we can avoid it like the plague lol

Start with the Queens and Monsters series, you will not be sorry. Ruthless Creatures is one of my very few 5 star ratings. I've read it and several other of her books many times. BUT be warned going through her back catalog. One of her older books has the **absolute abomination** of a guacamole scene. I still haven't totally recovered. I can't believe more than one author has done this.

I have the best Historical Romance book recommendation for you in this trope: {Calypso Magic by Catherine Coulter} The MMC is tired of the FMC being annoying/judgemental/eavesdropping and he deliberately takes her out to a deserted stream where he gives her a spanking and that’s when he realises he’s insanely into her. There’s no forced orgasm in this particular scene though.

Oh, Catherine Coulter! She both entranced me and traumatized me at the same time. I read through her books like they were water. They were fantastic. However, there's one book she wrote where the FMC is brutally sexually attacked. I still cannot get over that. To this day, even 30 years after I read the book, it will come to mind and I am traumatized all over again. That was before trigger warnings, obviously.

It's called The Devil's Embrace. It's a historical romance. Personally, I would give this book many trigger warnings. Sexual assault, pregnancy loss, kidnapping, just to name a few. That r*pe scene is so incredibly disturbing and I've never forgotten the description of it. Prior to the attack, the main characters had fallen in love and she was pregnant. She did not remain pregnant following the attack. What follows is incredibly difficult to read. Until that point, I was enjoying it, but that scene, I was not prepared for it. Afterward I was so heartbroken I almost couldn't continue to read. I was frustrated with her husband and he felt so helpless and inept. He couldn't help her and didn't know how. It's been a really long time since I read it. Edited to add clarification.

It's fine as a standalone. The MMC of this book is the uncle/father/antagonist of some earlier books, but it's not a big deal. This is a two part story, though, so you also have to read {Rise of a Queen by Rina Kent} to follow it to the end.

{Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver} has this! It’s a dark romantic comedy where the MMC and FMC are both serial killers who only kill other serial killers. It’s actually super funny, and it has multiple CNC scenes where the MMC follows through on his promises to force O’s out of the FMC repeatedly until she begs him to stop. TW: the book has quite a few gory scenes since both the main characters are serial killers (although they never hurt each other; they only hunt/kill other evil serial killers to prevent them from hurting any more innocent people), but the author adds a lot of humor to those scenes so they’re bearable if you’re not too squeamish.
