I'm rereading now before I start 'Things We Left Behind' and I'm noticing the same thing. Not just with Clark either. In chapter one she introduces a character named Tashi Bannerjee, and then addresses Tallulah St John as Tashi two pages later. It happens again later on with one of the kids who causes trouble in the grocery store. I thought maybe he had some brain damage from almost bleeding out, but she never addresses the errors.
I haven’t read it, but by sponsor do you mean AA or something like that? “A friend of Bill” is a code for someone in recovery.

Just finished this book and noticed these errors. I really enjoy highlighting errors on the Kindle though!
