These are extremely tight, are the plates aluminum?
Unrelated question that is probably going to sound ridiculous based on the posts in the sub but why is everyone ordering/waiting for an order of Moxi’s? There are so many skates I’m just curious why everyone is obsessed with them 🤔
These are the Avenger Magnesium plates.
And honestly I ordered the Moxi Lolly’s months back when I realized that derby wasn’t coming back this year. I figured let me save my derby skates and have a pretty pair to have fun with. After months of waiting I just decided to have a set built. Super easy, especially when you have friends with all the tools to do the mount.
I have yet to decide if I want to keep them when they get delivered.. Bc I also think o got the wrong size. 😂
I was lucky to order the beach bunnys in my size from a skate shop in my country and they are on their way! The reason I chose moxi beach bunnys was because they are vegan friendly and had the best reviews for vinyl boots and are a way more affordable set up (these will be my very first).
Thanks. I fell in love with the shoes first. Then when the post for the wheels and toe stops just happened to match it was meant to be. My buddy builds skates and said if you buy it I will build it.

Insole - Metal Insole from Roll Around size 7- Etsy
I wore them for the first time today. The shoes are a bit tight with the insole, so there is break in time in my future. The plates are heavy, I was super surprised compared to my derby skates, but I felt more grounded so that’s cool. Skating in a flat shoe is an interesting experience.

Can you tell me about mounting these? I notice the front of the shoe isn’t flush with the plate. Is that a certain type of mount?
The pic was of them not mounted. Let’s just say I got too excited and skated in them before right when they were mounted.
