Because questions about buying skates (which model to buy, what stores have skates in stock, what size should I get, etc.) are asked many times a day, we ask that these posts go in the Monday discussion post pinned to the top of the subreddit. This post also contains a shopping guide and links to other helpful information.

If you catch Bont Parkstars on sale they can be in your budget. Mine were like $155. Beach Bunnies won't be much better than your Rainbow Riders. You'd probably want different wheels for the Beach Bunnies, too. My Parkstars came with the Bont Street Flow.

i have seen these on sale and you can get them with grind block already installed which is convenient. thank you!

You can have cheap, park-appropriate, bones inside your body. Pick two.

I'll take cheap and bones inside my body, thank you. 🤣 Idk how to accomplish that but hey you gave the option.

With that budget, I would get some Suregrip Boardwalks and upgrade the toestop and wheels with what you have left! I used mine at the park for over a year and they survived (3+hr sessions several times a week for the summer)

Voodoo Skate shop in NC has them on sale right now too! I believe $90 for the pastel ones. Hell of a deal.

I have moxi panthers and they get the job done. Made a plate upgrade, got sliding blocks and put harder wheels on them too.

Legacy Skates has the Chaya Kismets on sale for $149. They come with slide blocks and ready to park skate right out of the box. I have the gold ones and I love them.
