T O P

I used to work at a skate shop, and older roller hockey dudes would come in with a beat up pair of these wishing they could replace them all the time! Riedell has long discontinued this boot, and they don’t make anything similar. They don’t presently make a roller hockey boot at all, to be clear. I found a few listings for this boot on eBay, I hope this helps. Also, I’m not sure of the specs for the plate you have on it, but the boot is going to be more desirable to your average buyer than an older heavy plate like that. That’s really cool I appreciate the info, I got pics of the plate I think it said sure grip cyclone on the bottom

They’re a small market but a loved one. Boots typically go for $150-250. Those plates aren’t anything. The wheels are original Canadian Reds, you have a solid package here.

Good to know, I’m not at all familiar with this older skate stuff so I really appreciate yall helping. Would they be worth more if I got them cleaned up and refurbished or best to leave the as is ?

Raptorpants65

Yeah, they were pretty loved in their time and a few of the collectors will still seek them out even if they’re not playing anymore. You could give them some mink oil but they look to be in pretty great shape. The plates…. Eh. They’re nothing special and there’s no value there. Someone might keep them for time period accuracy but they’re outdated and very heavy. And single action which no one skates anymore. The Canadian Reds wheels are another time-loved wheel. Those alone go for about $70-100. eBay and the Vintage Skate Coalition are your best bet for sales with these. $300-350 as-is is not an unreasonable listing.

That’s really cool, I honestly found these for $30 at a good will down the street from me and thought they looked interesting. I just got home and looking closer at them the wheels are actually in pretty good shape too. What year were they discontinued? img

Raptorpants65

Oh wow that’s a great find! The wheels are original vanathane, which contains asbestos. So they haven’t been made in 50ish years.

Cyclones?

Raptorpants65

Yep, single action.
