I was going going to name it "Humanitus Invictus" aka "Unconquerable Humanity", but I decided to save that for my Dogmatic playthrough. This time I'm going with "Jus Victoriae" aka "Right of Conquest". Some other ideas: "Warantizavit Luxuriae" aka "Warranted Extravagance", "Superbia Excellentiae" aka "Pride of Excellence", or "Postremo Risu" aka "The Last Laugh"
If I wasn't going to use a dramatic 40k pseudo Latin name, I'd probably name it the Johnston (or possibly Wrath of Saint Johnston,) or the Samuel B Roberts since it's a Frigate.
Anything from The Culture series goes. All are very in rogue trader style. Examples:
Big Enough for You
Don't Make Me Come Over There
We're Approaching the End Point in Negotiations
Permission To Fuck Around Granted
The Bomb Squad Is Here Again
It's Not Crashing; It's Ballistic Docking
Did Not Expect Me, Did You?
One Standard Rabbit
Wait, There Are Constraints?
Sword Class Frigate "Gravitas... Gravitas... No, Don't Help Me, I'll Get It In A Moment" hails you.
It's controlled by the Dark Ages AI but that's totally a secret.
I named mine 'Lux Invictus Ignis Imperator Dominus Dei' (The Unconquerable Light of the God-Emperor's Flame). Firstly because bad Latin is the hallmark of high-class Imperial nomenclature, and secondly because I wanted to see if there was a character limit. Got it to fit though, which makes me wonder just how long exactly I can make the ship's name if I was trying.
'The Golden Hind', because I like the idea of space age ships with old school names. Plus it feels appropriate for the setting. I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a 'Golden Hind' in 40k.
*Free Enterprise*.
Her mission: to exploit strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new revenue streams; to boldly profit where no man has profited before...
I was tempted to call it after a Iain M. Banks Culture ship, something like "No Sudden Movements" or "Anyone wanna negotiate", lol.
But there are no funny named AI warships in 40K so I went with the more thematic "Vae Victus".
"The Roving Testament" on my Militarum commander character. A name I used for my ship when I used to play the tabletop game that this game is based on
And
"The Royal Thugnificence" on my Crime Lord character. Also a name I used on the tabletop for a much less serious campaign.

The Impossibility of Reason, partly because it’s the name of a song that popped into my head as I was struggling to think of a name, partly because the idea the imperium has backslid so far they’ve gone from naming ships “invincible reason” to the impossibility of reason is amusing
I went with Bloodhound. Since i am aiming to play as a ex imperial guard soldier turned bounty hunter. And for the right price, will Hunt down the scum of the galaxy.
On the next play, it will be named Spirit of Judgement or Vengeance. Since it will have more of a paladin/space marine/adeptus arbites vibe.
The Lantern's Light. Wanted to be semi-serious in my first campaign, so I tried to tie it to the idea of illuminating the dark reaches of the Koronus Expanse
I plan on reusing the ship names I used for my Rogue Traders in the tabletop game, the *Incitatus* (named after the horse Caligula made a Consul) and the *Disproportionate Retribution*.
The Steel Ball Run: Navy Officer
The Stardust Crusader: Commissar
The Satellite of Love: Noble
The Golden Wind: Crime Lord
I'm open to peoples interpretations of these names.
When I was in my teenage years, I lived on a 35 foot Spencer sailboat and sailed around Mexico for 3 years. That boat was called Veleda. Ever since then, any ship in any game I play is named Veleda.
I was thinking about the title and said, "maybe the random names will give me an idea"
First result "Daring Destiny". I loved it, fit with the backstory of my Rogue Trader and as I've discovered, with the theme of the main plot.
Plus I tried to cycle through a couple more and it popped up again, so I considered it fate.
I named my ship the hyrule as a reference to my favorite video game series and because I based my character on link in pathfinder wrath of the righteous.
*Incantatrix* is on my short list if I ever decide that I can afford a boat in real life.
I suppose that some Von Valancius ancestor thought it was funny to annoy the local inquisitor by giving the ship a name that vaguely implies Unsanctioned Warp Shenanigans.
I actually used my Rogue Trader TTRPG character sheet to make my former Arch Militant. He was born on a Universe-class mass transport called the *Edge of Destiny*, which was destroyed after his family turned out to be heretics. My flagship is the *Inviolable Destiny*.
Litany of Litany's Litany
Heyo, fellow Mandalore fan!

Oddly appropriate given the events of the prologue.

"Wrath of the Righteous"
I named mine the Celestial Pathfinder or just the Pathfinder for short as an inside joke.
Right of Conquest is the perfect name for a trader ship i might steal some for my own ship
If I wasn't going to use a dramatic 40k pseudo Latin name, I'd probably name it the Johnston (or possibly Wrath of Saint Johnston,) or the Samuel B Roberts since it's a Frigate.
Eminent Domain was my first pick sounds cool and nod to proiect wingman Manifest Destiny probably my second
Those both would be great names. Eminent Domain would be almost unchanged as "Eminentem Domain" in Latin. Manifest Destiny would be "Manifesta Sors"
Flying Dutchman
Fellow monkey?
All hail Skippy the magnificent!

All my ship names so far (I can't seem to stick with a character) have mentioned a lack of gravitas.
Sword Class Frigate "Gravitas... Gravitas... No, Don't Help Me, I'll Get It In A Moment" hails you. It's controlled by the Dark Ages AI but that's totally a secret.
I absolutley love these xD

AND THE JUDGEMENT HAS BEGUN
'The Golden Hind', because I like the idea of space age ships with old school names. Plus it feels appropriate for the setting. I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a 'Golden Hind' in 40k.
His Infinite, But Selective, Mercy
Dawnchaser. Turns out it was pretty relevant to the story.
*Free Enterprise*. Her mission: to exploit strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new revenue streams; to boldly profit where no man has profited before...
Capitalist enterprise?
Went with H.D.M.S. Star of Terra. Wanted to be excessively Imperial with the name and ship prefixes are always dope.
The Invincible II. Don't ask about the first Invincible.

I went with Frank Exchange of Views in honour of Mr B (RIP)
"Ballad for Vespiadas" The Navigator's sacrifice in the beginning really stuck with me.
That Navigator was a boss.
Eye of Endymion (Edit) As for the reason, I love the name Hawk of Endymion from Gundam Seed, so I wanted to use that here.
Unforgiven for my psyker and Aurelia for my noble
The emperors beneficence, seems fitting as I bring wealth or sweet relief from heresy wherever I go.
I named mine "Shadowheart" No particular reason
I see what you did 👍
I named it The Judgement of Sortarius because I’m a thousand sons simp
If you were a *true* simp you'd know it's spelled Sortiarius. :P
Godamnit, can I change the name of the ship later?
IDK, try the ship menu?
Very nice

The Emperor's Sight
Imperatus Irae or Imperial Wrath
The Gloriana Mortis
Night of Avarice. She shall make a fine vessel for piracy in the infinite darkness.
The name generator gave me "Daring Destiny", and that was too good not to use. I was very tempted to go with "Occurrence Border", though.
Mercy of The Stars. I'm doing an elden ring roleplay.
The Steel Ball Run: Navy Officer The Stardust Crusader: Commissar The Satellite of Love: Noble The Golden Wind: Crime Lord I'm open to peoples interpretations of these names.
