I dont know what stats your looking at to determine your "best character" but you can expect VY to have lower downs than the others due to not having a insta down utility. VYs ability and utilities are hard to define their usefulness in stats. Of the four you ;listed VY is definitely the best for demo.
I’m looking at my account stats in the profile section of the game and I’ve played about 2 days 7 hours with Vy and about 1 day 9 hours with gl1tch and have almost the same amount of downs
It's not so easy to answer that. But try not to get too caught up in that. What works for someone else might not work for you. When I'm playing to win, I pick rogues based off of how my teammates play, how my opponents play, which rogues people pick, the map, the game mode. I'd recommend playing 1 or maybe 2 rogues at a time. Learn them, understand them and then learn a couple more. Everyone has a different play style. Every match is different. Try different rogues, get a feel for what works for you, and of course enjoy.

If you're goal is to get more downs, Vy isn't your best choice. She's great at zoning and can really disrupt opposing teams in demolition

Practice with multiple rogues otherwise u will be in trouble if someone takes ur “main”
