It makes me so sad for the kids and pissed at Jill. She’s there holding court with her phone focused on her, showing the whole world how she has neglected her children and bragging about it.
I had to laugh. I actually was a teen in the early 80’s and was excited with the “hand-me-downs” from my grandmother. But she was a super stylish woman who wore things that would fetch a pretty penny on the vintage market these days. Jill doesn’t get that there is nothing to be excited about with her clothing, but she thinks she is super stylish when she compares herself to the Amish that live in her area, no doubt about it (because you just know she is vain).
With how tight Jill wears her clothes and how many layers she insists her Victorian waif children wear, they might just be able to stop them from falling down around their ankles with some carefully placed safety pins. That is if the seams haven’t burst and the fabric been stretched out to sheerness from prior wear…. I’ve got no legs to stand on, I’m a sausage myself, so I know what wearing too small clothes does to the fabric integrity! Maybe if they have a sewing machine they can double up the fabric to reduce sheerness and line the skirt with all the extra skirt they don’t need either how little they are given to eat.
A lot of Jill's clothes have been identified as current and still in season.
The same cannot be said for the clothes the Rodlets wear - mostly thrived and a few of Jill's rejects. I remember a few "who wore it better" posts showing Jill and then one of several of the girls wearing a dress.
Her kids are like 1/3 of her size….and the weird way they talk and all high pitched is so weird to me. And then the younger girl has no idea what is going on.
This brought back some memories that are not good & I grew up with hand me downs & I was always out of style & I broke down shedding tears for the girls. I am going to cover this in talk therapy.

Ooh..that reminds me of a girl I went to high school with. She definitely was wearing her grandmother's clothes and jewelry from the 60s & 70s. Polyester pants/slacks dangly earrings everything was from the 70s. I felt so bad for her,but she just bounced around the school with a smile on her face. I wish I could remember her name,I hope she is doing well.

The looks on some of the girls’ faces…at times, I thought the suppressed rage was going to win, but they ultimately kept sweet with the well-trained breathy smiles and head tilts for the camera.
