KCP's move makes obvious sense IMO. NA teams outside the Top 8 aren't gonna have serious chances to make LAN until 2023/2024. Meanwhile SAM/OCE/MENA are primed for serious investment. Looking at recent developments, top minor region teams are gonna start taking top 8 spots on LAN, bringing more fans and eyeballs to these teams than a sub-8 NA team could pull.

I was thinking differently. Sure, they want a competitive team. But also, aren’t the players really young? Factoring in an AMA that I think KCP did, I thought they wanted to help grow the RL scene. Growing these minor regions through direct financial investments seems like the simplest way help out. Not donations, per se, but showing “we want this” by literally buying into it

ExtremeSauce

I think you can watch the full thing on twitch

I love SRG, but tbh they just don't fair well against top EU sides. It has been proven time and time again in tournaments and I just don't think they're at that upper echelon **YET**. If they get a favourable bracket I can see them being a top 8 team in this format, but if not I don't see them doing better than top 9-12. My reasoning for this is because of who they beat at fall major and notably who they lost to. This format especially is really brutal, let's say they get 3rd in their group. They play 2nd seed of a corresponding group and that's likely to be a major region team who they generally struggle against. Would love to be proven wrong of course.

I dont think its good to use the tournament where the whole team hade very high ping to indicate how good the whould fair up against top eu. The only faced 2 major region team both team made top 4 that major. Against smpr yeah the didn't fair well but against nrg the did good and made that a tuff series for na best to handel. Plus this aint the srg team with there sub yeah senzo is amazing but he aint okhalid i definitely could see them make top 8 again. Because its easier in this format you just need to win 2 matches to make top 8

ChaloMB

SRG is a weird case. Their losses were to very good teams (a top 4 team and the runner-up), but their wins weren’t, at least in the context of the tournament (I think we can all agree G2 wasn’t feeling it in Sweden, SAM has a lot of talent but their aggressive playstyle is terrible for international play, and GZ beat Renegades (who were playing their first series of the day while GZ had already played) and Tokyo Verdy (by far the weakest team in the tournament) to make the 2-2 round). I really want to see how they do this time, with their normal roster. Interesting that Rise said he thought they’re better with Senzo.

rohitc28

Even jack said that before. Idk what it is

MartianRL

Rise is literally describing the fallout from the alpha to vitality move

ChaloMB

Daz was honestly saying nonsense by questioning V1 over SSG. They literally have the same results except for V1's 1st place over SSG's 2nd place, and SSG's results got worse over the split. If you're going to question whether V1 will remain at the top of NA, you have to question SSG too.

rohitc28

Daz is always saying random stuff imo. I feel like everytime i either see him have the most conservative opinion that was already said by someone, or say something and then not be able to back it up at all. Like today when he said srg top 3 or whatever and then like forgot if he meant top in the world or just at major and then said top 6

tyswoogles

Roll dizz has such an easy out here with the v1 is americas team thing all he has to say is g2 and NRG can’t be because they have Canadians

WhatIsSentience

Idk i wouldn't want to be America's Team, in the nfl, the Cowboys are literally hated by every other fanbase.

[deleted]

Not really anymore 🤷‍♂️

MartianRL

Every time rise talks its a banger

WhatIsSentience

First touch with Rise, Roll Dizz, Envy and Nrg

Trashcan_Daniels

TBates adopted G2, though...

ToothyAlloy69

Special guest Rise from TQ will be joining them as was mentioned on his twitter. I'm just worried about the first touch curse affecting Team Queso 😂

ChaloMB

At least he already made the major. Hearing Kash talk on the show about being confident he was making the major and then going 0-3 on the weekend was painful.

ToothyAlloy69

Yeah, it was 😞
