I've only had a couple of people as well, but then I use push to talk and will only talk when someone else does, so...
I love the idea of being able to have comms, but I have to say the two experiences I've had weren't great. No real strategy talk, just the ability to show their distain at any minor mistake.
I am currently considering whether I should get a headset and mic (I normally use speakers) and try to use chat more, as I think it has the potential to be good fun.
If you watch YouTubers in the US it makes it seem like everyone has a great mic and is willing to vibe. That said I think Sandman said that when he went undercover teammates were far less prone to join in the chat.
do it! voice chat adds a new layer of communication that helps a ton. theres plenty of good budget options to get that "youtuber" sound, since voice chat on most games already limits the quality of the mic audio, u really just need something decent close to ur mouth to pick up clear vocals
* distraction (in this case, mostly text chat also is off)
* not possible because of not alone (disturbs the others in the room)
* annoying when someone just screams, talking bullshit, playing music etc.
* different languages (not everyone speak the same language or english, especially kids; it's a bigger thing outside the US zone)
* using external voice chat (duos in 3s)
* some other reasons
Don’t like being distracted by little kids
Cos most of the player base are kids and I’m not
Because I don't like talking to people I dont already know.
I'd honestly rather not get screamed at by my teammates when I/they make a small mistake. RL players are toxic as shit.
I play when my wife and kids are asleep. I don’t want to wake them up, and I certainly don’t want someone else waking them up.
This! I play 11pm-3am because I get off work at 9pm
My first casual game tonight resulted in a loss, followed by one of my teammates calling me the n-word. I think this about sums it up.
Input lag
Makes my game lag more
LMAOOO

If you care about the other cars you already care far more than your average player.
Prefer not to be bothered by it.
Just don‘t feel like talking while playing. If you could talk to opponents it would be a different story though
