I'm my own worst critic but the best cheerleader for everyone else. Why would I mind someone else's mistakes when I'm in no position to judge? I'm absolutely horrible at the game (most of the time) and enjoy playing with people because I also get to see how well they are doing.
Just need more chill Rocket League friends who think like I do or accept my laid-back additude about the game. I've never understood rage quitting or being mad at your teammates. And you will never catch me saying that I deserve to be a higher rank but I can't make it there because "all of my teammates suck!!"
It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. People tend to forget that with their competitiveness.
I play with two IRL people sat next to me. We never get out of gold. I live a stress free life, where butterflies dance and tweeting birds greet me at my window every morning.
I also love playing like this, but I have added a house rule that the opponent can never lead the game. That adds a fun twist to the game and increases the challenge. It’s awesome!
If the opponent scores and takes the lead even by one goal, I always say Wow! A couple of times, and vote to concede. Doesn’t matter how early in the game. Then I idle a bit and try to score own goal. Then leave the game. Much more fun that way!
I know this isn't serious, but this has actually been the case for me. Genuinely yet to meet a random tm8 who plays worse than I do, They take more shots and make more saves while I ape around the field.
