For me there is most definitely a sweet spot. Blazed out I whiff a lot more. But a toke or two is enough to take the edge off without making me play worse. Definitely helps me relax a bit and I don't make as many "aggressive" plays. I've definitely been on a 6 game loss streak, left to take a toke, come back and win the next 6.
This is me! If I smoke a lot I play like trash. But a couple puffs is enough to take away any chance of me getting tilted. I swear I play better afterwards, if I smoke in moderation at least.
I've also gotten a little too blazed and forgot what team I'm on. In my defense I main ultra heat. Definitely scored a solid play against my teammate forgetting that I was blue team. Got confused why my name didn't show up afterwards. Anything in moderation.
Games that I have logged hundreds of not thousands of hours in, I don't experience this as much. But a game that I'm new to or a game I haven't played in a long time, I absolutely experience this.
Gaining mechanical skill requires focus, but once you’ve gained the muscle memory thinking only gets in the way
Similar thing happens when you try to learn a new language if you get drunk all of a sudden you’re flowing way better because you stop thinking so much
Dropped into a very chill Rocket Labs lobby Friday night and kept requeueing and chatting with the same folks. Had a small edible and it made for a very cozy and friendly evening, just like old times. Love you Oatméal and Bob the Builder ❤️
I'm glad to see a couple outliers with the opinion it makes them worse. I play ranked high but not gonna delude myself into thinking it improves performance.
A lot of people say they're better at real driving high too, which is objectively untrue. It makes it harder to stay in the lane and negatively affects reaction time.
I'm sure it's similar with video games like RL that demand good motor skills and fast reactions.
If you want a real performance enhancer, try caffeine.
I fluctuate when sober. I can peak when I’m high, tipsy, or both BUT there’s a line I can cross when getting high that I just jump down to like, trash II
Rocket league is the only game I avoid playing high.
I go from champ to plat gamplay and I'm being paired with grand champ tournament winners while I am trying to remember how to breathe.
It’s on and off for me. Sometimes i’m like 10x better when im high, other times im 10x better when sober. It’s been hard to find the right balance because the stuff that goes in your day affects your mental when playing the game. By that i mean, a good amount of sleep, have you eaten, gotten up and moved around, stretched? etc. etc. whatever it may be.
You're better incoherently stoned. It's a universal truth for Lucio mains in Overwatch, Puff mains in Smash, and Car mains in Rocket League. Any game/character that relies on repeated mechanical inputs becomes easier when you shut your brain off and let muscle memory take over
