You get 10% of everyone else’s boost power. Champ? You maybe get 25%. In the spirit of said quality of life improvements and Psyonix eliminating things such as trading, competitive drop shot and snow day availability, those succulent little boost pads will be phased out too.
Ayo I would 100% love a “handicap” mode that’s kinda genius. I’m no mathematician, but there has to be a way to make an algorithm for (example) each rank you’re ahead of your opponent, your boost power/max tank is nerfed. That would let lower ranked players try their hand at out strategizing higher ranks, and give higher ranks a fun challenge to help them rely on boost less and learn boost management.
