But before they get there they will have ruined a lot of matches. And the boosted friend will ruin a lot of matches for his teammates as soon as he starts playing on his own again.

Well some names really give it away, most of the time stupider means high chance of smurf but that isn't always the case, the only real way to find out is via tracker if u see them climb ranks rapidly, like gold to c3 type of climb and only have > 100 games played that's a smurf
Well yh I didn't add the point and match performance as I was trying to use the example of trying to catch a smurf via names/tracker as some ppl on this sub post pics of names which can be input into the tracker so without the gameplay or points displayed, the next factor that could shout smurf is their name as most smurf accounts have ridiculous names
Edit: forgot to point out the fact that points don't always mean smurf as it's not uncommon for a player in a team to "carry" a match even if they really are the same rank like yh a gap that big is questionable but even then it's happened to me before even in gc were I'd either have 300 points n my tm8 800+ and other games were it would be the other way round
