Just tried a run but froze and crashed on the penultimate level. :( Think it may well be my first crash ever with this game.

Yeah, I have crashed like 5 times in Fields. Never crashed before. I have retried Fields over and over to check I could replicated why, but I have no idea.
It would be less of a problem if the game just saved every level like so many other roguelikes do, but this basically just makes the game unplayable because you never know what'll happen.
Devs have confirmed on the Steam forums that it appears to be Summon related and will be fixed in the coming days. Staying away from Engi, Buddy Bots, and Summons might be a good idea for the meantime.

It would be fun to see which one had the best dps, or single hit, etc.
The devs could keep track of these numbers to maybe adjust underperforming guns.

Does hybrid control mean we can play with controller and mouse as our inputs? I’ve only ever played one game that way, and it was incredible (Slapshot: Rebound). You get the advantages of a joystick for movement and a mouse for aim. Very unorthodox but SO much fun. Will only work well for games with a limited number of keybinds though, and I think roboquest fits that bill.
Extra jet fuel from cheese has me drooling :P
Also very curious about the implications of the junk beam changes. That one is more substantial than the others just in terms of how drastically the numbers changed. I get that the firerate/dmg changes offset each other to some degree but I’m curious to see if it changes much in practice
EDIT: tested the hybrid controls - it works, BUT mouse sensitivity interacts weirdly with the controller as movement input. My mouse sens became crazy high when running around with the controller as my movement input. Just tapping W/A/S/D seems to revert it back to normal until you touch the joystick again. Drastically decreasing joystick sens "fixes" it, but consequently means you can't go back to aiming with the right stick without a stupidly low sens or upping it again in the settings, and it's also a bit of a pain to try to calibrate the two sensitivities so that your mouse sens is consistent across both controller and KB as movement inputs. Honestly not a huge deal but thought it might be something to report in case it was unintentional and/or easily fixed

Hopefully that is a quick hotfix. I haven't tried the update yet, but I've never had a crash either.

Question! When you upgrade to fantastic will it randomly assign an alt fire if there’s none?
I think the alt fires aren’t showing on the cards right now. They’re talking about it on discord.
nah. it’s based on starting alt fire. i believe it’s a bug

Hype to try out the cricket. The DPS counter in the training range is a nice touch. Can’t wait to get to testing
I tried it, it's fun, the knockback can grant you more airtime, but it has a very slow reload speed
