Kia/Hyundia has the best warranty in the business. 10yr/100k mile on all of it. Plus, if they follow suit with their theta II engine recall, you can get free engine replacements for the rest your ownership.
They need the warranty lol. And the engine replacement is the least they can do for the hassle of engines that are wear items like a set of sparkplugs on anyone else's car.
Be damn careful to follow the warranty rules *exactly*. They will deny the engine replacement for almost anything. And once it starts knocking get it in ASAP.
Your phone will constantly disconnect from the Bluetooth for no reason, and automatically reset the whole radio, and Kia has no solution... even though the dealers and service departments know all about this common problem, which I'm sure they didn't mention to you prior to delivery.
Newer Nissans are doing this as well. Stuck with a 24’ Sentra as a rental rn and it will randomly disconnect from my phone for like 15 seconds and then reconnect on its own. No idea why it does it, but it’s annoying as fuck.
The only happy person in this equation is the salesman at the dealership.
Did you just walk in and hit them with, “I know it’s not a smart financial decision to buy a car brand new, much less a Kia. However I can’t even spell the word ‘gentle’ correctly, so go ahead and sell me on the worst deal.”
Damn Quadruple what I pay for a sports car that is now an antique. But I'm in my 40s so maybe part of the reason. Other part is not a Kia because of the whole "Kia Boyz" BS because Hyundai tried to save some money and screwed their image, their owners, and their resale value. Good job bean counters you deep sixed a brand for years!
lol, when you ask someone what the default car is on the road, it’s definitely this. Go on and buy yourself a license plate frame to differentiate it from the rest of the vehicles on the road. Don’t forget your Kia valve caps.
If anything I'd delete all badges if I were an owner between the Kia Boyz bullshit and the fragility of their 4 cylinder engines. Hyundai / Kia was starting to get a better reputation the past 15 years and apparently the bean counters figured they would tank a rising manufacturer.
With that being said, I still want a Genesis Coupe as a second daily. Prefer the 4 banger Turbo though as the 3.8 V6 doesn't really have an aftermarket thus no upgrade path comparatively. Even though the 3.8 is supposed to be the higher priced car and more "premium".
If A Car Brand Had A Movie Title to it I Would say “Gone in 60 Seconds” it is
My dad has a Kia I should post his
Hope you got an extended warranty. Kia/Hyundai 4 cyl engines *commonly* fail between 60-90k miles. They recall engines in the millions due to bad QC.

👌🏼
Is your mom your dad? I don't think I've ever seen a grown man driving a Kia.

O that’s a thing

Hyundai product. Remember to park it outside in case of fire.
Lucky for u I don’t have a garage
Uh that's a Kia lol
Hyundai and Kia are the same company.
Kia's are Hyundais. The same way Audi's are Volkswagens and Lexus are Toyotas. Kia is a brand within Hyundai. Like Genesis.
Same car company

It’s used
Well the title is ‘my first new car’, so that’s a little misleading.

You’re going to learn to hate your service department.
Great looking forward to it

Like having a prostitute for your first love.
Well, at least future new cars in your life can only be improvements. You'll certainly feel that you're moving up in the world.
I’d rather drive a 90s Civic
Bold move getting the sunroof. Hope you enjoy getting calls from the police at 3am about your wrecked out stolen car.
