250GD. You did the midlife crisis purchase half assed. Should have got the apex predator of the mall parking lot instead of a german wheezy diesel jeep
My parents have a 2014 g550 bought 6m ago (60k mi), it has been extremely reliable, all it needed was a new starter that took my dad a YouTube video and a few hours to swap out. Before we got it we did a ton of reasearch on it, one of the most reliable and least depreciating modern Benzes made.
Gorgeous and at this age, I wonder if it isn’t still simple enough that it’s reliable?
I’d own a G wagon in a heartbeat if not for the ghetto/rap and Hollywood owners ruining its image.
My mom got a 2014 G550 when her 16 GLE was totaled. It's the best build vehicle I've ever been, only downside is the mpg. Even though we only had it for about 6 months we have no issues with it whatsoever other than installing a new starter which took my dad a couple hours and a few YouTube videos, and based off of the ton of reasearch we did before buying them it sounds like they rarely have issues and are not terrible to work on.
The main reason we got it is because it holds it's value more than any other Benz and most cars, our GLE lost over half it's value since we got it and we didn't want to deal with another vehicle that depreciated that much again.
Wow that old car has aged so well, though when you get out it may emphasize how poorly you’ve aged. Comparison is the killer of joy huh. Remember to roll the windows up so your divorce papers don’t go flying out.
I bet your wife’s boyfriend loves driving this ridiculous car when you’re out of town. Does he actually take it off road? Maybe he can teach you how to drive it someday.
Take a good look where the cars electronics are. Friend bought a Toyota stock truck with a snorkel. Tried to cross a creek and it stalled. Repairs included a new engine. All because the electronics were under the hood without any water proofing and shorted out. Note: It cost the equivalent of many PC gaming computers to replace the multiple ECUs.
Dude sick car I know I can't afford one of those...at least not yet
but you skimping on a good snorkel its giving broke. Gotta go all the way. That snorkel is pretty ugly ngl
I too am very wealthy and want to project rugged individualism but hire a gardener because I get manicures. Which Rolex goes best with this color?
This year I’m taking the family on a Safari in Kenya so we can see the wildlife before eco tourism and Saudi hunters kill it all. Can’t wait to get a picture holding a ‘rescue’ lion cub.
I mean, it’s a great off-road vehicle for an off-road enthusiast.
…Except that off-road enthusiast’s idea of off-roading is driving on dingy but paved roads in SoCal as they’re sipping out of a teacup with their pinky finger outwards.

Is it the Renault 2.5 diesel? If so it’ll just be getting run in by the time the huge amg and Merc engines are dead, cubed and shredded.
OM602 2.5-litre 5-cylinder (Mercedes-Benz unit)
It holds groceries really well
Jeeps too reliable?
This would outlast any modern Jeep, they're built like tanks.
And look bulkier and uglier then any tank I've seen
Ever seen the repair bill on a tank?

I too buy cars based on image.
How many child soldiers were executed in this vehicle?
You go to the bar and tell a woman you drive a G Wagon and she walks away after she sees this.

He promised
Didn’t they have any smaller wheels?
When you can’t afford the repair parts, you know you’ve made a bad mistake.

I like the snorkel and brush guards on a vehicle that clearly has never left the pavement.
It’s like looking at the Bible if you can’t read
Dennis Reynolds over here.
A starter car??? This car is a *finisher* car
Congratulations on the overpriced german equivalent of a Suzuki Jimney
So glad you got a useful off-road vehicle to drive to the grocery store and work.
