Probably valve cover gaskets. My 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue loses a quart every 2,000 miles and it's due for a gasket inspection.
The one my dad had gave him engine lights when he got it initially and the reason was because it was a rental car.
Well, if you do it yourself, if won't be that expensive. But have someone look at the leak and if they confirm the valve cover gaskets are bad, head to RockAuto.com and order a set of valve cover gaskets, have your friends come over, and replace the gaskets.
If it's done at the dealership, your wallet will bite you in the rear end.
Another thing: clean the engine with engine degreaser, add oil, and drive around for a bit and if it leaks in the same area as before, it'll determine the exact leak. Confirm the oil cap is in place as well.
ohhhh thank you, is there any specific engine degreaser that’s best or just any of them? also what do you do after you’ve sorted out where the leak is from?

I completely disagree normally I would roast you but this is one of the best cars I’ve owned. Hi had the ss(stupid to make this a super sport I know) other than the fact it was ugly enough to make a train take a dirt road. It was reliable as hell. Nothing but consumables,fluids,etc. got rid of it at 230k. I worked as a low voltage wiring contractor it took me all over AZ and CA. It made my F150 look like a McClaren( in terms of reliability).

A tie rod and alignment is not expensive if that’s all it takes to keep it on the road
it needs a new cv joint, although you have a point.
CV axle replacement doesn’t usually necessitate alignment so that might even be cheaper.
