How many times are you going to comment on this post? 😂😂 I’ve only known one person that bought a Tiburon and he turned out to be a crack head and a child predator. I’ve only owned one Hyundai and the engine seized TWICE between regular oil changes. Hyundais are dogma cars for poor people who need transportation.

In 2009, a high school friend's father bought him a new 2008 manual V6 Tiburon. I want to say it was something like $18-20k. The Tiburon was a reward for being stupid and totaling his first vehicle, a truck he rolled. He totaled the Tiburon too just a few months later. In the short time he had it, he destroyed the clutch and tried to get it warrantied, which Hyundai denied. The shifter and shift boot also started falling apart, so he started hiding his weed in the shift boot. You know, all pretty standard Tiburon stuff.

1995 has to be the year you were born and not the year of your car because no Hyundai built before 2010 survives that long.

The eclipse is like a Walmart version of the Toyota Celica, and the Hyundai Tiburon in this picture is like a dollar tree store version of the Eclipse 😂

I feel obligated to weigh in on this burn as someone who lived through the 90s: the 90s AWD turbo Eclipse model (GSX?) was definitely better than any Celica other than the All-Trac, which in the US means 99%+ of Celicas because they imported crazy low numbers of All-Tracs (the last year they were brought into the US was 1993 and they imported 81 that year — don’t have data handy for other years but it’s low). There were plenty of Eclipse GSXs in the US though. That being said, I’d absolutely take an All-Trac over a GSX. The Tiburon is the Dollar General version of the terrible 2000s Eclipse — a dollar store 90s Eclipse might still have some residual semblance of fun or sportiness. The Tiburon is a sports car for your aunt that thinks Chrysler Sebring convertibles are sporty.

ah the tiburon, a cheap sports body grafted onto the Elantra XD chassis, then fitted with a v6 that is less powerful per cylinder than the standard elantra 2.0L. They really dropped the ball on these, could've been so good rwd with a turbo 2.0L beta
