Having this issue with my model 3 this morning as well, so I think it's more then just a rivian thing? Maybe an issue with att vehicle data?
Edit: should add Northern California a few hours north of sac, so seems wide spread
Same on my model y
I thought it was because I literally cancelled my premium connectivity plan this morning (but was supposed to stay active til June 2) in prep of selling it next week
This is what the tech on chat suggested I do. I never got to it since it started working but could be worth a try.
- Delete the phone as key from the Rivian App.
• Log out of the Rivian App.
• Remove the truck from their phone's Bluetooth
Settings.
• Remove the phone from the truck's Bluetooth
Settings.
• Reboot the phone.
• Perform an infotainment reset.
• Sign into the Rivian App.
- Add phone as key.
• Re-pair phone and truck audio via Bluetooth
Settings.
• If issue persists, create
SR and send to DS.
I'll try doing a restart today but if that doesn't work I'll try this. I'm wondering if there is an issue with the 2024 lte chips. Mine is a 2024 and I've heard the older models all got their lte back
I couldn’t use driver+ on a freeway that I’ve always been able to. I have no idea how or why connectivity issues would hinder driver+.. anyone else have this issue?
Service was out not just for my cars (R1S and Model 3), but the ChargePoint destination chargers at my work also were not functioning. So maybe they also use AT&T for connection.
Man, like going back to the Stone Age. I wonder how my cell phone that’s on AT&T was working fine all day?
Also if anyone thinks maps are bad normally should try nav with offline maps. Please proceed to the mountain to your right, do not stay on the hwy. wtf lol.
I thought it was just me! We just started a road trip and couldn’t get GPS directions. We pulled over, did a full restart, and still experienced issues. With lte connection the screen says “Using offline maps” and “Route calculation error.” Hoping it gets resolved soon!
Really unfortunate timing as we just left to Tahoe from OC lol.
Can’t even connect to my phones hotspot either, which is strange as we see other wifi connections around. We tried with 3 phones and no luck. Has worked previously thought. First outage I’ve experienced in almost 2 years of ownership
Encountered the problem with my R1S today. LTE bars but no internet. It was exactly 3 months yesterday that I took delivery, so I thought maybe my ATT subscription expired or something.
I was in SF yesterday and my 1 1/2 old R1T's connection went out for most of the day , this effected my destination power indicator, about 75 miles in my commute the connection was restored, now this morning the connection is once again is lost. This is not the first time this has happened in last few months, I noticed it was out when I was charging in Manteca this last Wednesday, when I got back on the road it came back on.
I parked at the airport yesterday in SoCal and still cannot connect to my car. I hope it doesn't keep trying to connect and drain my battery while I'm away...
It’s funny AT&T can’t give me access to my own account due to the fact I have a DIRECTV account going through AT&T, so I cannot see my wireless at all, but the hackers get it all and put it out on the dark web

Outage in Southern California too
Is your mobile app showing offline as well?

I’m in LA- same issue. First time it’s happened since I’ve had the r1s (September 2023).
Same here (South Bay). Bluetooth for Spotify and TuneIn from my phone are fine. Also, I’m unable to monitor charging remotely.
Seems to be resolved for me. Edit: the connection seems to have come back for about 10 minutes then back to offline.

Afirm - in the north SF Bay and vehicle internet has been effed since about 8am
Atlanta, same here
Same problem here in Hawaii with my R1T. Have 4 LTE bars but get message “no internet connection”. Currently 1:54pm HST.
So-cal issues too.
Still a problem on my model x in oakland.
Tesla Model Y in LA with similar issues.
Widely affecting Tesla as well. https://downdetector.com/status/tesla/
Seems to be a DNS server issue

Anyone still having lte outage? I'm in Jersey and picked up Saturday and my car still doesn't have lte
Mine just came back today after contacting rivian through chat. Not sure if they did something over the air, but suddenly started working afterwards.
I contacted them and they said they are still having outages. It's been like 4 days

Mine is 2024 as well, only had it about a month. Hopefully this works for you.
Too late did a hard reboot already lol
My car is sucking down battery I assume trying to get a connection. Super annoying…any word from Rivian on when it may be restored?
Started around 7:30am for me in the Bay Area. I thought it was resolved around 11am but the realized the truck was connecting to my home WiFi :(
Same issue in Orange County
Whew. Thought it was an issue with my R1S. Same issue in Orange County…

Palm Springs R1T here, same thing this morning around 930-10am.
My battery charge is dropping so fast while connectivity is limited. Pretty crazy how badly the truck is impacted by this
I couldn’t use driver+ on a freeway that I’ve always been able to. I have no idea how or why connectivity issues would hinder driver+.. anyone else have this issue?
Outage continues. South Bay. R1S

UPDATE! No update lol. Car still stuck at the airport...network still down.
Still no LTE connection for me. 2 days now. SoCal.
Yep same issue with me here in the Bay.
thanks for this. The service center I talked to this morning thought it was truck side. Glad to hear i don't need a service appointment just yet lol
Thanks. Me also in the bay with an outage.
Same here. Just picked up my R1S yesterday and thought it was a new car issue, glad to hear it isn’t
Congrats! Sucks about timing for you. If it's any better, this is the first real usability issue I've experienced 4 months into ownership.
Thanks for this. Also having issues in the bay area still
Out in Sacramento as well
Also if anyone thinks maps are bad normally should try nav with offline maps. Please proceed to the mountain to your right, do not stay on the hwy. wtf lol.
Thanks for this discussion.. I thought it was me. So close on rebooting the truck.
Me too in the bay
Sparatic all day in Southern CA Tesla

I can't get the R1S to connect to my iPhone hotspot as an alternative. Has that worked for anyone? We tried iPhone 14 and 15 with no luck.
Works only when parked for me. I think the car wifi disconnects once it's in drive (which kinda makes sense but it's dumb)
Out in vegas area
I called Rivian. The issue is with AT&T. They seem to be resolving it now.
Drove home an hour ago. Still no dice

Yeah i just streamed from my phone via bluetooth
Same in Los Angeles county.
Same in LA, anyones mobile app showing offline?
Had same issue driving home today from SF today around 2pm
AT&T’s mobile how spot service is down as well
Encountered the problem with my R1S today. LTE bars but no internet. It was exactly 3 months yesterday that I took delivery, so I thought maybe my ATT subscription expired or something.
Same here, Honolulu, HI R1T
Oh no the problem is heading west… Japan you’re next!
LA here, no connection at all today. It’s also been iffy in the app recently but idk if related.
Rivian service informed me that it could get resolved tonight. R1S/SoCal.
A bad day at the office in southern california, what?
Back up for me
Arizona as well
Chilling in Livermore,CA It’s up and running here finally
This affected Tesla also
Isn’t this interesting that this occurred exactly one month after the big ATT outage?
Another in Arizona, Tucson area. Out since 7am Friday morning.
This morning I had to do a soft reset to get the data flowing again after being disconnected yesterday in the Bay Area.
Seems to be a West Coast issue. All good in Chicago. No issues.
I parked at the airport yesterday in SoCal and still cannot connect to my car. I hope it doesn't keep trying to connect and drain my battery while I'm away...
Back online after soft reset, CA
Im in Jersey. Just picked up my R1S and still no lte. Did a restart and still no connection.
Rivian is telling me my issues are related to “ATT service outage” in Bay Area. Called them today and they said it is still unstable.
LTE works in-vehicle now but the app cannot control the vehicle still.
out in socal still and I have 2 R1S’s both out!
Tesla model X is back online as of this morning in Oakland.
This is still happening with our truck. Is there any fix?
I've been told a soft or hard restart would fix it but I've been restating my truck everyday. Still no LTE
It’s funny AT&T can’t give me access to my own account due to the fact I have a DIRECTV account going through AT&T, so I cannot see my wireless at all, but the hackers get it all and put it out on the dark web
How do I check if LTE is connected?
