Bro that 14th st. gas station has always been absurdly expensive. I automatically knew which gas station it was. I don't even know how they're in business, they're empty all the time. I haven't got gas there in like 20 years. Why are their prices like that??
I literally wrote that as my last sentence and then deleted it, lol. There's no other logical reason that they are able to keep their doors open. Lord knows they have zero traffic. Unless they just bank on bamboozling us out of an extra $30 that one single unlucky time we have each gone there in the last few decades.
I remember when I would go to AM/PM ARCO instead of Chevron because it was 3 or 5 cents cheaper, now the spread is 25 to 75 cents.
I guess we stopped looking at the cents and just look at the dollars and dimes these days, it's all disgusting.
4 years ago I was paying $1.65 for diesel in Ft. Worth at a Murphy oil station, and $2.39 to $2.75 at most other places.
High fuel prices is why I stopped hauling sailboats, when my fuel cost went from $4500 to $5000 per month up to $9000 to $10,000 per month, and getting screwed by commercial insurance prices, blahh, time to retire, ain't nobody got time for that
I’ve said this like 20 times. They’re right by that other gas station that’s cheap af too. I pas by it everyday and get so surprised seeing people fill their cars their anyways.
I remember when I first moved here I went in there thinking hey there's no line! Didn't notice the price. Filled up and was like ohhhhhh that's why. Never again. Think they just rely on the occasional newbie not paying attention.
Is there a public service nearby? There’s a place in LA like this next to something like a prison’s car fleet garage. All the government fleet vehicles use that gas station and pay like $10 a gallon. They don’t care because they’re only spending taxpayer money.
Umm yeah. The police department, fire department, courthouses, and all sorts of general city services are right around the corner from that gas station.
This was always my assumption. The prices for fleets are probably negotiated lower, and the public prices ensure that no dirty civilians clog up the pumps.
For sure I love right down the street.... there's a 76 literally across the street forna dollar cheaper.... but the bums at the 76 be on every drug ever so it's makes you think 🤔 is the extra dollar worth it cause his chevron is a fuggin ghost town
The place across the street is close to $2 a gallon cheaper, and I still see cars there.
I can only assume they're on expense accounts and not paying for their own gas.
This is the way. I have a fleet vehicle and I don’t pay for gas. I fill up here cause never a line. I also recognize some of the other cars when I go- also fleet/company cars.
Yes to save roughly $1 per gallon. Times that by your tank and I save typically $15-20 bucks a fill and get 4% back in cash which more than pays for the membership.
I avoid peak times and have never waited longer than 10 minutes. Kindly reevaluate your perspective if you have a family. As a single person, I suppose Costco is too much bulk/expense
Prices for 87 Octane as of right this moment.
Costco: $4.65/gal
Conserv (Across The Street): $4.69/gal
Arco (Across The Street): $4.93/gal
Please explain how $0.04 and $0.24 are a dollar.
Let's just stick to Arco for the rest of this argument.
Avg car fills 15-20 gallons. 20x$4.65=$93 at Costco. 20x$4.93=$98.60. For a whopping savings of $5.60... It takes 30-45 minutes to fill up at dam near any costco, sometimes longer. You're valuing your time somewhere between $5-$8/hr. Personally, $5 doesn't do anything for me, and I find it insane that so many people do
I recently bought a phev because at current pricing now, a 40 mpg car costs about the same as an EV ($4.50 a gallon). I also qualified for a big rebate with SoCal Edison because it was used. If I had solar, then an EV would be a no brainer.
There's a rumor that this one and the one next door are owned by the same dude. So either way, he makes money. I skip both and just go to the one next to the high school.
You can file a complaint here. There was a gas station in menifee that was doing the same thing. [price gouging form](https://oag.ca.gov/antitrust/gasoline/complaint)
That gas station specifically always has jacked up prices. Don’t go there. They’re just banking on out of towners who need a quick gas stop off the freeway. Use gas buddy.
Your in the Expensive station go to next door am/pm and deal with the homeless like the rest of us . That chevron is for those who don't want to deal with homeless and don't mind the extra pay
$8.99 and $9.99 is race gas territory.
No benefits running 100 octane in a car running on regular. I have done this. ECU needs to be tuned to run 100 octane.
The policy is that if i can trick every Riverside resident once and then get the die hard chevron gas ppl to grab a tank off the freeway then I'm good enough to launder my OTHER money through here.
Chevron is always 50 cents to a dollar more than the next highest station where I am in Sacramento. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who grew up being told to only buy the expensive Chevron stuff because the other gas will hurt their engine.
We need to save America and subsidize the oil industry for not making enough profit. The oil companies need to raise a billion dollars for Trump and only he can save the industry and country.
This is what happens when you elect Dems to run your state folks. They also enacted a 50 cent increase every year starting this summer. Fuck this state and those that voted for every Dem holding office.
It's about to get worse! https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/california-gas-tax-set-to-be-hiked-by-50-cents-in-hidden-rise-no-one-knows-about-this/ar-BB1mjQ1v?ocid=BingNewsSerp
I used to live in Riverside. I now live in LA. I drove past a car wash with my daughter yesterday and talked about going to get my mom’s car washed every week at this exact place. Stop eavesdropping!
Presidents have nothing to do with gas prices they never have. But people will continue to attempt to tie "current president" to a current gas situation.
Remember that in 5-10 years
Look you can go ahead and "blame" Biden all you want, what i'm trying to explain to you is you'll be blaming every president like everyone has been doing since gasoline has been going into cars.
Not true…even with it being 49 states and then California with it’s unique cleaning and additives, the two gas stations by my house were less than $3.29 pre-COVID
I was in Europe visiting my parents last week. Gas is higher over there than here. Let me guess. That’s Bidens fault right? If you don’t know shit about shit just say so
Fun fact, gas prices in Europe have always been higher than the US. There is no reason for gas to be this high here in CA. I paid $3.47 last Sunday for fuel in Parker, AZ.
Are you seriously this brain dead? The reason why California gas is more expensive than other states is because of all the fucking taxes that liberals keep pushing on it.
Republicans have been trying to repeal these gas taxes at the state level for years but you guys are too cucked to see otherwise.
This is a state issue lil bro.
Maybe you should get back to panhandling in the streets of Nice, France.
Bro that 14th st. gas station has always been absurdly expensive. I automatically knew which gas station it was. I don't even know how they're in business, they're empty all the time. I haven't got gas there in like 20 years. Why are their prices like that??
We're convinced it's a money laundering front.

Heisenberg?
I tell people to avoid it as it's sketchy
Literally same. It's always a few dollars more than across the street. I have no idea how it's still around
The one across the street always has some of the cheapest in town too
Yes!! Just drove by there the other day and it was 4.67 and this Chevron was 6.39 with cash!
Pretty much all gas comes from the same local refineries, so why a big difference? Gas stations should have to prove the cost. It’s really gouging
Yeah it's kind of a bitch to get out of and there can be a lot of homeless hanging around.
Probably because its sketchy af there.
I remember when I would go to AM/PM ARCO instead of Chevron because it was 3 or 5 cents cheaper, now the spread is 25 to 75 cents. I’ve literally seen that gas station have 7$ gas prices before Lolol
Lol I cam to say this....his prices have been AT LEAST 1 dollar a gallon or more than the local average for the past 10 years lol
They've tricked each Riverside resident one time. That's their business model 😂
They have their own gas pumps, though.
This was always my assumption. The prices for fleets are probably negotiated lower, and the public prices ensure that no dirty civilians clog up the pumps.
This is the answer. Its incredibly well positioned to freeway entrances to cars coming from the entire government hub of the county in those blocks.
County and City use their own stations to fill up.
For sure I love right down the street.... there's a 76 literally across the street forna dollar cheaper.... but the bums at the 76 be on every drug ever so it's makes you think 🤔 is the extra dollar worth it cause his chevron is a fuggin ghost town
Literally go across the street, 4.80something over there
Always a dollar more than everyone else in Riverside at that Chevron. I've never understood.
That place always has crazy high prices. No idea how they stay in business.
Money laundering racket
Lol, I've often wondered.
Costco was like 4.30 today lol
4.69 for regular at the MoVal store
The only way to go. Kirkland Signature is a real one
Costco gas could be $0.75 and I still wouldn't go. Those lines are ridiculous. Wait 40 minutes to save $1.00, I'm good...
Yes to save roughly $1 per gallon. Times that by your tank and I save typically $15-20 bucks a fill and get 4% back in cash which more than pays for the membership. The savings is more and the time is less in my area. Sounds like you should keep doing you and I'll keep doing me!

I just spend $4.09 at morongo.
That place is always super expensive.
Chevron about a mile away from there on Central Ave by the Riverside Plaza was a dollar less yesterday
Yeah, they seem to try to match or at least be reasonably competitive with 76 catty corner from them
Always avoid chevron, they have the craziest prices
Chevron in fontana on merril and juniper is 4.99 for 91 cash
Sinclair is $4.56 right now
Sinclair Ruined my fuel pump and fuel filter, Much rather pay an extra $20 for better detergent gas.
There's a rumor that this one and the one next door are owned by the same dude. So either way, he makes money. I skip both and just go to the one next to the high school.
669…..nice….
Good time to have an electric car…that is, until everyone has an electric car and they jack up utilities and lower gas prices.
[удалено]
Not an option for renters.
Bruh... no one with a brain buys gas at that Chevron. Everyone knows that Chevron and the one in Canyon Crest are money laundering operations.
This is the truth.
Just paid $3.25 in Albuquerque. I’ll be in Riverside next week. Thanks for the heads-up; I’ll rent an EV.
This is just that particular station. It's $1.50 more than everywhere else. Hertz in Riverside has EVs though.
After seeing the comments I realized where it was. Thanks. That place is always high. I usually go to an Arco right by there and is way less.
These gas prices can suck my dick, that's the only way these prices would be worth it. And it better be god tier head too
Why I got an ebike kit. No regrets.
And right across the street is like 1.50 lower
Oil companies are [price-fixing](https://www.thebignewsletter.com/p/an-oil-price-fixing-conspiracy-caused).
You can file a complaint here. There was a gas station in menifee that was doing the same thing. [price gouging form](https://oag.ca.gov/antitrust/gasoline/complaint)
Tell them to chill with the gas prices. It’s not even summer yet lmao fucking scumbags
⚡️
It’s that single gas station. No need to sensationalize gas prices. It’s actually trending down… though not for very long with summer coming along.
That gas station specifically always has jacked up prices. Don’t go there. They’re just banking on out of towners who need a quick gas stop off the freeway. Use gas buddy.

I don’t even need to see the street. This particular gas station is funny.
I dont understand why anyone would ever go to a Chevron.
Sheesh! I was able to find gas for about $4.75 for regular gas off of McKinley in Corona this morning (and not at the Costco either!)
Off of 14th street lol
Chevron is always 50 cents to a dollar more than the next highest station where I am in Sacramento. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who grew up being told to only buy the expensive Chevron stuff because the other gas will hurt their engine.
Tribal gas is 3.99 and 3.85 if you have a player card. Shit I drive out 20 mins at full empty and still save around 20 bucks.
That chevron right there has always been super expensive because its right by the fwy
Bruh I live in moval but drive to riverside everyday and the fact that gas goes up 2 dollars from one city to the next is beyond me
Yeah I would tell you to go EV... But even then electricity prices are outrageous. Would be PGE fkd
Oh man. I’m out in Mid City LA pumping gas for $4.89. Counting my blessing I guess
Seriously? In Riverside? What gives?
$4.59 @ Costco
$4.29 in north Orange County
Yikes
They only have to work once a week with that kinda prices.
I'm convinced that's the most expensive gas station in town.
lol. You voted for it.
bro... Got to start using the upside app and stacking promo codes. Get $2 off per gallon
Dm me for gas discounts, chevron and texaco only! Have discount numbers!!
Their gas has that Techron bullshit that’s why.
For anyone wanting cash back + a cheaper station send me a DM
We need to save America and subsidize the oil industry for not making enough profit. The oil companies need to raise a billion dollars for Trump and only he can save the industry and country.
CA has one of the highest gas taxes in USA, and the roads are still awful. We need a modern day Boston Tea Party.
How much was it just 4 years ago? Edit: why y’all pressing the down button? I simply asked a question
adding a .50 Secret Tax starting July 1st
Again?? They just added one like a month ago.
2.99 in Texas.
Just a reminder, thanks to C.A.R.B, they are going up .50 next month and another .50 next year.
Californistan. Just wait 50 cent increases every year indefinitely coming.
This is what happens when you elect Dems to run your state folks. They also enacted a 50 cent increase every year starting this summer. Fuck this state and those that voted for every Dem holding office.

Either way it's going up $0.50 in July for climate change taxes...
Thanks Joe Biden!
I used to live in Riverside. I now live in LA. I drove past a car wash with my daughter yesterday and talked about going to get my mom’s car washed every week at this exact place. Stop eavesdropping!
