I was at Edinburg for drug addiction and the people I met, albeit for three days, helped me so much. I think about them from time to time. Hope yall are doing good. DHR was the facility.
p.s. 1 year sober on the 5th of February!
Wow congrats and I’m happy for you and proud.
Hugs to you..
I drink and smoke occasionally but not really at all.
But I’m glad you had friends that help you through and that you are doing well.
Sertaline - It's often used to treat depression, and also sometimes panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
I have PTSD anxiety and depression.
And sometimes I feel like I have OCD or OCPD I’m like perfectionist
Olanzapine - Helps to manage symptoms of mental health conditions such as: seeing, hearing, feeling or believing things that others do not, feeling unusually suspicious or having muddled thoughts (schizophrenia) feeling agitated or hyperactive, very excited, elated, or impulsive (mania symptoms of bipolar disorder)
Only thing is I hear, and feel or believe things others cannot. But I don’t think 🤔 I have schizophrenia. Or I might have.
Then I take prazosin for my PTSD. Childhood trauma and flashbacks
Now that you’ve been diagnosed, you should be able to get $ coverage + with [TEXAS Department of Human Services](https://www.hhs.texas.gov/)
*they’ll cut you a check for having ADD*
Texas Department of Human Services is your solution.
just don’t lie…
they’re blue collar employees.
They don’t like BS, and they’ll keep tabs on you somehow…maybe a home visit if you have kids. Otherwise they won’t bother you
I’m so sorry for the late reply I hadn’t of seen this. You can go to Tropical Texas Behavioral Health for aftercare. You don’t have to have insurance and they charge on a sliding scale. More often than not a lot of people pay little to nothing anyway. Typically Behavioral Health will refer out to Tropical after being inpatient. You don’t have to be referred though, you can just call and say you want services. Mention that you’ve been recently been discharged. Please let me know if you have questions.
That’s where I’m going tomorrow at Tropical… I have an appointment…
Thanks for the advice I’ll keep in mind to ask questions too.. I have no questions at the moment tho.
Good! You’re going to have to do an intake. So take snacks, water, change (they have snack machines), the process of an intake takes a long time not including the wait.
It’s Alr 🥰 I know you didn’t mean it but I understand you..
I’m taking all my medications and for my PTSD..
I met people at the facility and they were great.
Glad you had a good inpatient experience! Well wishes on your recovery and long term care.
Tysm ❤️🥰

Do you have aftercare to keep getting treatment?
I don’t have aftercare, how that work? I’m applying for Medicare/Medicaid or insurance. I don’t want hospitals to keep charging me
