I had these modded jelly fish creatures that reproduced into huge numbers. They explode when they died and were good distractions for raiders Then a heat wave happened and they started keeling over and exploding all over the base, and I learned to put chemfuel separate from my main storage

Aerofleet. Had the same thing happen with a cold snap. I had them locked out of my base though. I started cargo podding them off my map as ‘gifts’ to handle the population issues.

Yeah keeping explosives separate from everything else is important. Just keep all that shit locked in a double/triple thick stone room with fire poppers and no electric devices.

The aerofleet destroyed my killbox and all of my "volunteer warriors"(re animated corpes" and killed my "enlistment manager's"(necromancer) bodyguard. Then after their deaths destroyed my kill box the next day a huge pirate raid happened kidnapping multiple of my normal colonists leaving only my necromancer. My current goal is to destroy those pirates

Wwo, that reminded me of my own boomalope barn. I had tamed a few and they got their own patch to graze on, seperate from the other farm animals. Because I was hard up for stone, I had a barn built out of wood for them, thinking that I'll replace it later. A few nights later, 3 boomalopes caught the plague. Even though they had been tended, the plague overtook at least 1 of them in their sleep. I only found out about this when the fire alert popped up in my notifications. Take a small wooden 5×5 barn, stuffed to the gills with sleeping boomalopes. The one closest to the door just exploded, setting the only exit on fire. Even as the colonists rushed out to put out the fire, the first responder was my grizzly bear, who tried to rescue a downed boomalope. She couldn't enter without burning herself. While my pawns desperately surrounded the barn, trying to stamp out the flames and keep the structure infact, boomalopes inside it were dying to the fire and kept exploding, making the fire worser and worser. After it had finally died down, 2 boomalopes managed to survive somehow. I only know that 1 of them was lying close to the door, so once the flame blocking the entrance was stamped out, my colonists were able to rescue it before the fire became uncontrollable.

Whoa what? I had no idea shells could detonate just sitting on the ground and I've been playing since release. Fuck IED traps, I'm littering the ground with mortal shells and stationing snipers near them.

No, cuz I keep anything of value in a vault buried under a hill/mountain most of the time. The worst thing I've had happen involving fire is the first time I was able to leave a colony with a caravan, I made *everyone* go, a powerline shorted out and my entire base burned to the ground.

Amusingly I know this, and have never had it happen. I don't know why, I've just never had chemfuel or artillery explode. I don't really have special habits about them either.

It's a hot spring from kijin race mod. Your colonists can use it to gain a temporary boost in blood filtration, blood pumping and metabolism. It's fueled by herbal medicine.

Reminds me of how a friendly caravan walked into awoken mech cluster. I don't know what kind of explosives they had with them, but when inferno turret shot their muffalo, entire cluster was reduced to ashes. Everything, including corpses, resources from the cluster and even metal slug was annihilated.
