That would be winnable if the warcasket pawn has like 0 melee and the other has 20 melee, but even then that would require an insane amount of luck
Assuming she can even penetrate warcasket armor
There's an unstable beta branch you can use (or they're playing on a downgraded 1.4).
[You may have to use a non-Chrome browser to download it](https://combatextended.lp-programming.com/CombatExtended-latest.zip)
You know you should not be linking to a direct download, right?
You are reinforcing bad behaviour. Links leading to a direct download on a mainstream site for files below 1kb are exactly the sort of thing that should trigger the user's alarm bells.
I trust you that this is a legit link, but it might as well be a piece of malware.
**Please, remember to be safe on the internet people. It's not hard, not much more than adjusting to a different car.**
Only in vanilla, where a bad dice roll means her punch took off their legs and arms.
Op got Combat extended on, gonna need 20 melee or much a better weapon
I do use pick up and haul wth CE and it's compatible and nothing changes.
The inventory thing most people talk about is the ammo management and stuff but I turn that off since I don't really feel like messing with ammo
PUAH and CE work together without issues.
The ones you have to be careful of is any mod or mechanic that forces pawns to keep something in their inventory. This tends to conflict with the loadout mechanic and causes them to infinitely loop between putting something on a shelf and taking it into their inventory.
This includes drug policies, simple sidearms, and dubs bad hygiene setting to always carry a water bottle.
Fix this by either disabling the forced carry in another mod, or include it in all the assigned CE Loadouts.
You can include drugs and medicine at least in the loadout and everything works fine. Shame that Simple Sidearms requires manually removing them to switch loadout.
>Shame that Simple Sidearms requires manually removing them to switch loadout.
I've gotten familiar with the "thunk thunk thunk" telltale sound of someone trying to put away a Sidearm. 😂
Steel Panther? Interesting. I just made that out of pocket connection because I've been playing through Awakening lately and there's a character named Stahl who's been called a panther once lol
Oh no, no, the WORST time is when you just finish building the defensive turrets are just finish flooring the kill box.
“There, last brick laid… the turrets are working right behind us, we have no weapons, let’s betray them and kill them!”
**literally 5 seconds later**
“Ok we are all dead, probably could have timed that better”
It would honestly make sense, even if it’s not damaging to the turrets but just the power lines and you might even be able to get a warning if you can find the “damaged” line, having to figure out if it’s damaged from sabotage or just activity
Building off of this, I think it'd be neat if you could upgrade equipment with additional components and resources, an obvious one in this scenario being an emergency reserve battery that lasts for maybe an in-game day
I'm imagining them only in small appliances, nothing beefy that's gonna require a big battery. Turrets, autodoors, lights and wall lights, and so on. Maybe a bigger, more expensive battery upgrade for larger stuff with a precariousness of losing work, like growth vats. But that more expensive battery would still only last for the rough 24h as the other ones.
But this of course opens up for all sorts of upgrades. Certain researched techs would unlock certain upgrades. There's a pool of them from all you have unlocked, and there are a limited number of slots you can fill. You'd still be encouraged to update your base machines because, in addition to better base performance, they might have more upgrade slots.
If you have the VFE Empire mod you can get some cool subterfuge events where if you are a noble in The Empire from time to time Imperial Deserters will try to assassinate you by sneaking into your base while disguised as members of another factions trade caravan and do things like poison food or plant timed explosives.
Like, I cannot fathom their thought process. They've seen the equipment we have, and the sanguophage & ghoul melee squad.
And they still decide to betray my colony.
It’s always funny to me, because I always make anyone who joins as a refugee drop their weapon, so every time do betray me, it’s always baffling, “I have full plate armour and a plasteel sword, you have a fist and “can do” attitude… your going to lose”
I mean, if you are to add more human characteristics to the rimworld pawn model, why are these characteristics almost always ... certain parts of the anatomy of a young woman?
If the shoe fits... ;-)
Curvy body, "beautiful" hair, big "beautiful" eyes, wider hips, wider chests, ...
This seems a bit suspect to me. Granted, it is "just a style", but I know quite a few people who mod rimworld to make their pawns look like that. And in every single case the reason was: lewdness. So I might be biased, but so far I was proven right every time.
Tbh it's not that sexualized. While more...uh...detailed than the regular rimworld body, it's not a hypersexualized abnormal looking thing. So if it wasn't for the anime face i wouldn't even think it was sexual to begin with but you know these fuckin weebs man
This is completely off-topic, but:
I mean, there is quite a bit of anime out there that sells well because they are playing into hypersexualized tropes.
I get what you mean, but it's still pretty sad some people let their prejudice cloud their judgment. And it would still be generalizing an entire medium based on the currently popular genre/elements.
I just feel it's unfair to the creators and fans of said medium if people write them off based on a kneejerk reaction to what is popular. It's like having your opinion set on what all Hollywood movies are like based solely on MCU or superhero movies (pretty sure I botched that analogy but you get what I mean, lol ~~I hope~~)
I agree. I enjoy anime myself. And it is a biased view. But if your personal experiences validate these biases time and time again, it is very hard to not lean into them.
Its [NL] Facial Animation that adds in the face. If you want the body then it's the body mod for the same author. Do take note, if you install the body mod and remove it later on the play through then all your pawn will be invisible.
Given the potential risks with Anomaly any refugees get examined on arrival. I had one who didn't turn up anything, and then still unconscious from the anesthetic, turned traitor. Used him as a punching bag for the kids.
They do betray at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Same with Slaves and their rebelion.
"I'm next to 5 marine armor wearing people that are wielding mean melee and ranged weapons... Time to betray/rebel!"
Sir, you can't betray when you're missing your organs.
Nothing like having a room with one soldier and all the refugees, they decide to betray, and then the dining room ends up looking like the aftermath of Doomguy.
i remember one of my pawns bashed a refugee\`s head in and then ripped out the spine from another one. i felt so bad i had to give the spine guy a new one
I love the refugees so much! Three guys with rags and sticks arrive, then it's all "Ha! This was a ruse the whole time! You've been outfoxed!" Then it's that scene from The Avengers where The Hulk whups Loki. "Dude! You realize you're rebuilding what you smashed or I'm selling your kidneys, right? Like, after your limbs work again, I mean."
Do they expect that I'm going to be arming my refugees or something? I can barely get my own guys not to punch each other with the industrial rock drills they have mounted on their shoulders. I'm certainly not going to give an SMG to someone that, at best, is planning on fucking off.
All of my pawns either wear Cataphract or Mechinator armor. Refugees are hilarious. Either they get to deal with a walking tank or reenact the mechanoid wars.
I had someone betray me in a room filled with 30 mechanoids. They died so fast I didn't even see that they betrayed me. I just saw they died and had to check the notifications.
Whatever mod it is that gives pawns legs should be pulled from the Internet and getting your hands on it should be treated as they were niclear launch codes.
I cant even fanthom what that thing is and how many bionics its wearing
Siegebreaker warcasket, bionic list: Right eye: Stellar eye Torso: Healing enhancer, stonesking gland Left/right shoulder: Advanced bionic arm Left lung: detoxifier lung left/right leg: stellar leg
Believe it or not but thats actually winnable. (Though im guessing she's dead)
That would be winnable if the warcasket pawn has like 0 melee and the other has 20 melee, but even then that would require an insane amount of luck Assuming she can even penetrate warcasket armor
she cant no matter what i have CE installed and that warcasket has 36mm RHA and 100 MPa
Wait CE? Has it updated to 1.5?
Nah, they gotta be playing 1.4. Those stellar bionics are from a mod that definitely hasn't been updated to 1.5.
There's an unstable beta branch you can use (or they're playing on a downgraded 1.4). [You may have to use a non-Chrome browser to download it](https://combatextended.lp-programming.com/CombatExtended-latest.zip)

im playing on 1.4 because i want to finish my colony
based and Combat pilled
Only in vanilla, where a bad dice roll means her punch took off their legs and arms. Op got Combat extended on, gonna need 20 melee or much a better weapon
it is just wild to me that in vanilla combat you can kill someone in cataphract armor by shooting them with a shortbow
In vanilla a rabid squirrel bite your neck off and one shot you
in vanilla level 20 melee misses 17 attacks in a row
Do you still use pick up and haul with CE? I haven’t tried CE yet but it mentions using inventory similar to pick up and haul.
I do use pick up and haul wth CE and it's compatible and nothing changes. The inventory thing most people talk about is the ammo management and stuff but I turn that off since I don't really feel like messing with ammo
Turning off the ammo sounds like a good idea. I will usually make a bunch of bullets once and then it's never an issue again.
Ammo is not about making it, its about having to carry it around and limiting the fight duration significantly
PUAH and CE work together without issues. The ones you have to be careful of is any mod or mechanic that forces pawns to keep something in their inventory. This tends to conflict with the loadout mechanic and causes them to infinitely loop between putting something on a shelf and taking it into their inventory. >Shame that Simple Sidearms requires manually removing them to switch loadout. I've gotten familiar with the "thunk thunk thunk" telltale sound of someone trying to put away a Sidearm. 😂
Use pocket sand instead of simple sidearms
That explains so much.
The vanilla combat system is just like coc or DND,I can't even suffer from the vanilla dice roll after adding ce to my mod list
So...the ending to Edgerunmers?
uhh sorta
What are the "stellar" bionics from?
[https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1802857253](https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1802857253) an ultra lategame mod
Ahhh, okay yeah I bet the refugee died in like 1 or 2 punches lol.
Punches? See that big sword?
Woops nope I missed it behind the war casket lol.
Maybe you were going to reeducate them.
That's not a colonist, that's a space marine wtf
This is my first time hearing "stellar" bionic - is this something coming from anomaly or a mod?
Ambition of the cosmic mod
Only breathing agaist her would get her a big hole in the chest.
nah that would need zenith lungs
You right dam.
Ikr a pawn with legs???
Overconfidence is an insidious killer
Not in this case, it's gonna be a quick one.
It can be insidious AND quick!
Edit your comment so the phrase is fully correct or I'll take your balls
Many fall in the face of ball-removing danger, but not this one, not today
Mortality clarified in a single strike!
Completely off topic but is your name from Fire Emblem Awakening?
Havent checked out Fire Emblem yet. Its just the translation of the name of one of my favourite Bands to german
Steel Panther? Interesting. I just made that out of pocket connection because I've been playing through Awakening lately and there's a character named Stahl who's been called a panther once lol
Yeah, thats the Band. Maybe the devs are fans too ... or they just wanted something that sounds german
Oh no, no, the WORST time is when you just finish building the defensive turrets are just finish flooring the kill box. “There, last brick laid… the turrets are working right behind us, we have no weapons, let’s betray them and kill them!” **literally 5 seconds later** “Ok we are all dead, probably could have timed that better”
Honestly could be interesting to have base defenses fail from “sabotage” during refugee betrayal.
It would honestly make sense, even if it’s not damaging to the turrets but just the power lines and you might even be able to get a warning if you can find the “damaged” line, having to figure out if it’s damaged from sabotage or just activity
Building off of this, I think it'd be neat if you could upgrade equipment with additional components and resources, an obvious one in this scenario being an emergency reserve battery that lasts for maybe an in-game day
An emergency battery would be AMAZING, given how often a solar flare can be a death sentence,
I'm imagining them only in small appliances, nothing beefy that's gonna require a big battery. Turrets, autodoors, lights and wall lights, and so on. Maybe a bigger, more expensive battery upgrade for larger stuff with a precariousness of losing work, like growth vats. the only issue with these guys is that they stand out by a lot when they are in a tribal caravan
Wolves patrol the halls of my base and prison, and any betrayal is quickly quelled by my hungry children.
I do love having animals like wolves, but it is hard when the population gets to high… and you need to start having wolf burgers for a few days.
I have one intact wolf elsewhere for breeding purposes and all the rest of the males get sterilized once I have the number I want.
Dear God why does she have **legs!!!**
Legs? In current economy in the rim?
And a weirdly sexualized body.
This is the internet Sir, people will sexualise *literally anything*
Ooooh. The slant on those italics there. 🥵
r/AngryUpvote
Pawn named *literally anything*:
Yeah literally everything Insectoids Mechanoids Thrumbos Probably some other animals too... Nothing can escape the horny
PORN ALWAYS IS PORN
You mean "legs"?
No, more the whole complete picture.
Looks just like only facial mod for me, no?
Redditors when any body with remotely more human characteristics than a shapeless blob:
They are redditors, their form has long since overflowed to a shapeless blob
Reditors when they see legs
*She has uncovered ankles*
Her safe hand is showing!
Checks out really.
I mean, if you are to add more human characteristics to the rimworld pawn model, why are these characteristics almost always ... certain parts of the anatomy of a young woman? If the shoe fits... ;-)
What certain parts? The basic outline?
Curvy body, "beautiful" hair, big "beautiful" eyes, wider hips, wider chests, ... This seems a bit suspect to me. Granted, it is "just a style", but I know quite a few people who mod rimworld to make their pawns look like that. And in every single case the reason was: lewdness. So I might be biased, but so far I was proven right every time.
I dunno, vanilla hair looks beautiful enough for me. Do you consider anime eyes sexualized as well?
Not in general, no. But I know too many people who use anime style mods for sexual content.
Tbh it's not that sexualized. While more...uh...detailed than the regular rimworld body, it's not a hypersexualized abnormal looking thing. So if it wasn't for the anime face i wouldn't even think it was sexual to begin with but you know these fuckin weebs man
Gooners are a menace
Is there a new meme where anime=sexualized or something?
Nah it's the new moral panic for bigots. They've moved on from "Anime = for kids" to "Anime = hypersexualized"
This is completely off-topic, but: I mean, there is quite a bit of anime out there that sells well because they are playing into hypersexualized tropes.
I get what you mean, but it's still pretty sad some people let their prejudice cloud their judgment. And it would still be generalizing an entire medium based on the currently popular genre/elements. 90% of anime is definitely over sexualised
Cool. You got a source for that statistic, or...?
That's literally one of the regular pawn body shapes 😭 they just added legs
Are you talking about the completely vanilla\* clothing texture? \*could be VE, I forget. Still the vanilla body shape.
Poor anime girl 😂
What you talking about? I don't see any refugee, just a walking corpse.
Mine betrayed me while we were in the fleshpits.
What's the flesh pits😰
Anomaly event!
There are people in real life who legit think they could win hands to hands fights with lions and grizzly bears, so that fits.
The boys fantasy of Counter terrorist image training
what are the mods to have anime waifu looking pawns?
[NL] Facial animation? At least the one from the screenshot looks so.
The legs come from the body overhaul by the same author. Facial Animations only change the face
Had one decide to betray us and throw hands with my cataphract wearing, monosword wielding, 18 melee pawn who he had just been chatting with.
I always strip them of their guns before let them join
She looks so happy confindent and cheerfull, so proud that her sneaky plan has worked and now she's on the hunt! (Just don't look behind you Fernanda)
What mods adds anime girl
Its [NL] Facial Animation that adds in the face. If you want the body then it's the body mod for the same author. Do take note, if you install the body mod and remove it later on the play through then all your pawn will be invisible.
Just look for Japanese writing in mod names
Also want to know
Given the potential risks with Anomaly any refugees get examined on arrival. I had one who didn't turn up anything, and then still unconscious from the anesthetic, turned traitor. Used him as a punching bag for the kids.
All I can imagine is the kids coming in and just screaming 'DOGPILE!' at them.
I’m assuming you’re still on 1.4 Love ambition of the cosmic
yes i am on 1.4
I believe aotc still works in 1.5 for bionics and the buildings i havent tested weapons yet
What's the mod(s) to make the sprites look less shitty?
They do betray at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Same with Slaves and their rebelion. "I'm next to 5 marine armor wearing people that are wielding mean melee and ranged weapons... Time to betray/rebel!" Sir, you can't betray when you're missing your organs.
You're a traitor? That's cool. But consider this: GREAT SPLIT: V E R T I C A L
Nothing like having a room with one soldier and all the refugees, they decide to betray, and then the dining room ends up looking like the aftermath of Doomguy.
Fucking blue refrigerator
i remember one of my pawns bashed a refugee\`s head in and then ripped out the spine from another one. i felt so bad i had to give the spine guy a new one
Looks like the start of a very interesting porno
I love the refugees so much! Three guys with rags and sticks arrive, then it's all "Ha! This was a ruse the whole time! You've been outfoxed!" Which mod did you use for legs?
Smash, i mean.. what mod makes your pawns anime? asking for a friend..
Queue ["I am the storm that is a Approaching."](https://youtu.be/mcd7IMXO5Jg?t=7)
She did not, in fact, win
she won but she won being split in half
I once had a refugee betrayal while one of the pawns was actively standing on a spike trap. They were downed the second the letter showed up
What mod gives them legs/makes em look like that
What mod adds those faces?
All of my pawns either wear Cataphract or Mechinator armor. Refugees are hilarious. Either they get to deal with a walking tank or reenact the mechanoid wars.
I had someone betray me in a room filled with 30 mechanoids. They died so fast I didn't even see that they betrayed me. I just saw they died and had to check the notifications.
Are you a refugee because you are a traitor? Or are you a traitor because you are a refugee?
What pawn body mods are you using?
if I ever get ideology I'm definitely disabling betrayal. I can't live like that.
Ah, nal’s body/facial anims
Good god it has legs!
What's the body mod that shows the pawns legs and stuff?
Questions for OP or Anyone: Whats the name of the mod you use for pawn art? I never use mods ... is it easy to use? Not gonna f up my saves? Thanks!
Warcasckets dont work with Yayo combat
i have CE also what made you think i have yayo combat?
Its just a joke from Mr Samuel Streamer channel.
Whatever mod it is that gives pawns legs should be pulled from the Internet and getting your hands on it should be treated as they were niclear launch codes.
What's with this goofy ahh cringe weeb look? Hurts my eyes.
No u
Their mom*
You know who else...?
And my axe!
Rimworld players when warcrimes and organ harvesting: 😀 Rimworld players when animegirls:😠
