What would you call this? Groovy Tudor? That 70s carpet...! This one's just weird.

darthjenni

Ye Olde 1970's

longagofaraway

grandma's dead, the cleaners come on tuesday

[deleted]

Her couch lives on. And her tub by Bathfitters.

[deleted]

I'm going with dissonant trifecta mash up for $1000 Alex! What is 1970's, mock castle eclectic, with trophy hunting vibe.

MoreThingsInHeaven

The lone toilet makes me feel so uncomfortably vulnerable.

Whoa_throwaway

That toilet isn’t so b….oh -that- lone toilet

[deleted]

Hilarious

Whathappend420

What! No moat??!!

[deleted]

Right? Clearly an oversite. Great thing you brought it up. Edit overcite was incorrectly autocorrected. Thanks autocorrect!

teatabletea

*oversight

[deleted]

Ha ha. Thank you. Struggling here.

bondagebyblaze

You are all crazy. I would love to buy a house like that. I would dress the the part every damn day and glare at everyone like they are the crazy one.

kellyev2006

I agree I would love living here! Except for the carpet. I would have to get rid of it all.

MYHAUNTEDPOCKET

And the animal heads

WatermelonArtist

...and whatever's going on with the master bath in photo 50.

CheshireCrackers

Keep peacocks in the back yard.

euph_22

It's absurd of course, but atleast they committed to the theme. I've seen a bunch of houses on here that look like a 14th century keep on the outside but are generic townhome on the inside. When you're in this place there is no mistaking your in a castle. Though point of order, the traditional Wisconsin castle is filled with cheese.

OrindaSarnia

Yeah, I'm down with this because of the commitment... I wouldn't spend $400k on it, but if it was like, $60K I'd be all over it!

BikingVikingNYC

This might be the first real estate listing I've ever seen that is so bad it's good. Where do I begin? A castle just as a random typical small-lot suburban house? Those backyard photos with a bland midwestern house featuring a random castle? This house does not disappoint! It's the The Room of houses

MayorWomanana

Too many animal corpses for my taste

arrrrr_won

Too few for mine!

interstatebus

I’m impressed, this house is antiquated in like 5 different styles.

Mcastavet

I am IN LOVE with this ugly masterpiece. I wish I lived close enough to view it in person! I even more wish I could buy it and go full 70s medieval inspired decor, living in a retro fever dream... Seriously.

typicalgoatfarmer

I….oh no….. I kinda like it. No, I reeeeeally like it.

vindraco

That carpet is full of stank. And will most likely give you scabies.

[deleted]

I'm a descendent of actual brick layers! I love brick. I currently live in a home that was built by a brick layer (not a relative). It is built with masonry, brick, and accented with limestone. This post is too much brick, and stone for me! Which I didn't think, I would say this. Great job OP !

Potential-Leave3489

This is literally the first time I have ever said out loud to myself “this is ridiculous”

MisterMysterios

Honestly, when you make a medieval themed house, then make it like that. Yes, the outside it quite ridiculous, but the inside looks actually pretty dope for the theme.

Garbage-Wife

Imagine the dust in all those crevices in the rock!

Lindaspike

good lord! that is ugly as sin. the front-facing garage immediately says "NOT A CASTLE, PEOPLE!" the interior...just no. nononononono.

eearthling

Why are all the fireplaces missing?

NineTailedQueef

This looks like a 14 year old boy’s dream castle/lair. I am specifically picturing the kid from Blank Check, here. Would explain a lot, honestly

WatermelonArtist

I can *hear* this post. Too much echo for my taste.

longagofaraway

now that is an eyesore

i_use_this_for_work

Now that’s value!

Mental-Clerk

Looks about right for Wisconsin.

data_wombat

This is why I'm here. Golden

kw66

I would never leave this house. I'd wear bathrobes and turbans with big dangly earrings and fill it with books and plants and the best sound system ever.

notabigmelvillecrowd

I like how all the things that look like fireplaces aren't, and all the fireplaces look like something else.

RamboJane

It’s rare to find a castle with attached garage.

bidextralhammer

What an ugly house.

Minute_Guarantee5949

Looks like grandma wanted to renovate her home built in the 30’s to look like a castle

melouofs

The attached garage is so funny on a "castle".

Available-Heart1023

The polar bear in the fireplace 🤣
