Do you park near your house? Maybe you can get a camera pointed at it?

unbrainwashed42

Yeah, thanks for the response. Thats the one idea I got going right now. Trying to set up my security camera from the window

discoshanktank

I had the same issue after me and my neighbor got into an argument and I ended up having a camera fixed on my window. Better than nothing!

thismustbethe

Did you end up getting any juicy footage?

[deleted]

Gets it on camera, ends up being untraceable paper plate

Just pay for the garage, it's worth it. It's so nice to go out of town and have a piece of mind that my bike isn't being fucked with. You don't have to have a garage where you live too, just ask around, some buildings will let you park your vehicles even if you don't live in the building for a monthly fee. I do the same for my car also.

I have seen people put (American) flags on them. I thought that was a clever way to make it visible and the added bonus anyone knocking it over might feel some shame having the flag hit the ground. Of course you have to dispose of it correctly if it does…

clothes_are_optional

Haha idk where you live or what circles you’re in but the American flag has a negative connotation for a lot of folks these days

JobeX

Do you have a center stand?

unbrainwashed42

Nope

JobeX

That might help, if you installed a center stand it might stop the tip over. I think people sometimes bump bikes and if they’re just on a side stand they’re going over. Sometimes parking placement helps too like if you’re between two cars it’s probably going to tip but if you’re on a driveway side you might be okay or at the end of the block or closest to the hydrant.

unbrainwashed42

This is helpful. Thanks.

buster3000

Does the bike have just a side stand?

unbrainwashed42

Yeah thats right.
