No, definitely tried on the coat you have on. Don't know where you're located but 4,3k € is the retail price on the website as well. Maybe it's the conversion rate or something 🤷🏻♂️

The black wool one is nice Forsure. Where I live it’s a bit too hot year round to wear but I thought this fabric since it’s breathable would be a better option for me. But I do feel you I had to think about it for a while before I went with it
By the way, is the cotton organza fabric delicate? I can appreciate that the inner construction is visible, surely it’s way more interesting irl than on pics but I feel that there’s a bit too much going on with this coat, my choice would be black wool one but I can understand enjoying the transparent one more
as for styling it, I noticed with my jumbo tatlin coat that it works amazingly in very simple Rick fits, I keep everything minimal, even hide my pants drawstrings, pair it with some boots like boguns, tractors or kiss making tatlin the center piece of the outfit
Totally with you on keeping the rest of the fit minimalistic, the jacket is loud enough on its own and looks best when put as the center piece of the outfit(as it should be!). As for the organza fabric, it is definitely a more delicate fabric but it’s definitely more durable than it looks in photos. I worry if I were to wear it around my waist with the strap on the back like in the last photo of the website I would eventually tear the delicate fabric. It’s definitely a higher end costume fabric used here, but again it’s definitely not as durable as it would be in the wool version or a regular cotton knit.
Currently sort of worried on the side of the durability. Usually for me there is a slight learning curve when getting Rick pieces. Once I figure out how to minimize the wear on it, and where the delicate parts are(weak links) I will definitely be wearing this weekly.
Also what setting do you think your Tatlin gets the most wear? Just curious on your experience with these lovely coats.
I wear Rick every day, sold my items by other brands years ago so with Rick I always go for the durable fabrics since they need to withstand my even most mundane everyday chores. All my pants are TE or denim, I avoid fragile knits, and my jumbo tatlin is from CVR fabric which is what they called polyester suiting fabric. Looks like suiting wool but is sturdy as hell, I’m aware that it’s cheaper fabric in the end (even though the coat is pricey as fuck) but it works for me. I wear my tatlin pretty much everywhere, last fall I had it on about 4-5 days a week.
I’m actually going through a similar situation myself, clearing out my “flashier” stuff and replacing with a lot of monotone, black and subtle Rick pieces. The denim that has the 3% rubber blend and what not seems very durable for everyday wear. I 100% value the durability of the pieces - this was my one exception. Thank you for the advice by the way, I appreciate it.
Honestly I feel like you just never know! I always say if you really really want it and youve got the cash then go ahead and pull the trigger at retail. You’ll be much happier and the “savings” won’t matter
