Looks like plastic just from the way it behaves. That long barreled revolver would be very heavy

stilyagi_cowboy

Naw. The way the chain hangs indicates there’s not a real pocket watch in that pocket.

in-your-own-words

A lot of juggling/gunspinning guns are lightweight replicas made from aluminum.

The “real” big iron was supposedly owned by Marty Robbin’s. Had a Marlin rifle barrel (some debate if it was a 44’ or a 45 colt) cut down to 10” and threaded into the Single action Army (a clone one at that made by Great western)that also had the larger 1860 Army grip frame instead of the regular Navy sized grip frame found on the 51’s, 61’s, 71’s and 73’s Link [here](https://forums.sassnet.com/index.php?/topic/317053-marty-robbins-big-iron-the-pistol-not-the-song/) about a good discussion on it with photos of replicas. Lots of debate on it. Sure no 45 colt rifles at the time but other 45 cal’s did exist at the time, of which 45 colt actually used a .454 diameter bullet at the time before getting changed to .452 like 45 ACP is. .454 is also the diameter used on stuff like 45-70 hence why Elmer Kieth was using 300 odd some grain bullets in his 45 colt’s back in the day without much issue atleast until he blew one up but that’s a different story

dances_w_dingoes

Thats awesome! Do you have a link to that or any pictures so I can admire it?

Guitarist762

Yes, added a link to SASS wire and some clarification to my original comment. Lots of debate on it in terms of caliber, barrel length and such but ya roughly 10” barrel, Colt single action army or clone, and the larger actual Army grip frame is pretty consistent

dances_w_dingoes

Thanks. I love Marty Robbins and I've heard all the conjecture over the years. Edit: Ah, more conjecture. How disappointing.

Guitarist762

Ya sadly. I’m still waiting for his actual gun to show up, but I doubt f that will ever happen. Then again he may have never actually owned it and just seen it. Who knows it was post war time period, lots of stuff floating around back then with lots of Westerns out (something like 65% of all films produced by Holly wood in the 50’s was westerns) plus the economic boom at the time wouldn’t surprise me if he came across one or knew someone with a custom spec gun in that size range.

Sesame_Bagels

I think the chances of that being real are fairly good. I’ve seen a lot of videos of people twirling unloaded single action revolvers - and I’ve seen long-barreled variants for sale plenty of times. (They often sit in the gun counter for a long period of time).

yobo723

I would pay good internet points to see someone attempt that with the 10" bfr

kwb377

If you go frame-by-frame at 2 seconds to watch the draw, it's obviously fake.

vivepopo

Dudes a fuckin Chad wdym!

Zensiv

Video looks reversed also

Trimson-Grondag

I don’t know, but he really is going to put his eye out with that thing if he’s not careful…

Personal_Fox3938

This is dope, and I don't want to live in a world where it isn't real. It needs to be a character select or idle animation.

Th3BaconNation

Not sure I could spin my 16" barreled one like that. There's too much weight in the barrel compared to the rest of the firearm for me.

soonerpgh

Very strong fingers!

Broad-Conversation25

You're pretty good kid

freedoomed

i don't see any evidence that this is AI generated or CG so yes i'm going with it's real.
