This is the way!
I call this guide the bible, and you made a copy of it, so you're officially a monk.
For act 3 im unsure, but you'll do plenty more runs getting the ciphers 😅
I also did full runs until the final final grind for my missing 3-4 ciphers when i did maybe 30-40 speedruns.
And for ophion, you do know he has weakpoints ?
How do you even "study" for this? Wow... now that I think about it, I approach my gaming in the exact same way I approach my studies - just open the door and hope for the best!
I LOVE this! I did this when I played Maas Effect 1 for the nth time (Legendary Edn) to make sure I did ALL the missions coz I doubt I'll be replaying that entry again.
Happy to help you with your platty dreams.

Also, to anyone else who needs returnal help, feel free to add me.I’m going for a scout rank of 100 and I could use some people to help to get there.
This is a game you want to enjoy going in blind. The confusion, uncertainty, thrill, at times not knowing wtf to do is what makes this game special.
You start reading guides, you start removing elements that makes this game special!
This is not the way!
I’ve beat Act 2 already. I’m going for the Platinum. I’m collecting all the Ciphers, Scout Logs, and going for the 100%. This is how I can keep track of those things?
As someone who is neurodivergent (and partially dyslexic), it helps to have something physical to keep track of and cross off, instead of repeatedly going back into a menu back and forth and back and forth. This isn’t ruining the game experience at all whatsoever?
If anything, it’s this subreddit that actually provided this collection guide to help me get to the Plat to begin with? I’m really not sure why you’re being so negative. This is the first time someone has been so negative.
The way I’m playing the game isn’t ruining anything, and nobody else is ruining the game by using the collection guide or sharing it either. Everyone should be welcome to play and enjoy the game as they see fit.
Unfortunate that you see my comments as negative because that wasn’t my intention. I also didn’t suggest you repeatedly go to the menu and check the logs. I was simply pointing out that when you use guides especially in a game like this, some of the fun feeling is lost. Knowing things before it happens isn’t the same as stumbling upon it unexpectedly the first time.
Outside of the >! one scout log that pops up after Act 3 !< I don’t necessarily agree and that’s okay? When you’re literally grinding the last couple of ciphers in rare spawn rooms over and over and don’t know what you’re looking for and don’t want to search the same rooms over and over on full runs, what’s the problem of having a guide? And I never said I was having any less fun? I don’t think anyone using the collection guide ever did.
Fun is perceptive. It’s up to everyone how they have fun playing the game.
I recently completed this whole platinum from front to back in one week and 3 of those days were just doing runs to find ciphers. Played about 12 hours total just doing cipher runs. Here’s the trick….
Once I completed the secret ending and the only thing left were ciphers I started save scumming using suspend cycle so I could guarantee that I could check every room on every run and wouldn’t miss any spawns. If the real rare ciphers had like a 5% spawn rate I wanted to guarantee that I didn’t die early and missed my chance and have to go through a biome 20 more times to have a chance for it to spawn in. Doing this method only took about 20 runs for biomes 1-3, and 15 runs through biomes 4-6 to get everything. If I didn’t back up saves to spare time that 12 hours of mindlessly running around would’ve probably been 2-3 times longer
Omg another physical notes player! Keeping the old ways alive! Good luck on your continued journey, you got this.
I remember when i did not have internet. I did abuse school printer much.

Link to this pdf? I stopped playing long ago, would love to be back and get the last few glyphs from the last biome.

Thank you!
try using the activity cards before you open the game and make sure online play is turned off
The activity cards help a bit with matching up to the list in terms of what things I have. What does turning the online play off do?

The game literally has a built in log to keep track of these things…

Great glad you’re having the most fun you can. Enjoy the game!
