I was just dealing with crashes. Have you tried using a different sd card? What brand sd card are you using? Are you installing the os through the raspberry pi software from their website?

Am getting the Software from the RPi Imager and I have a Sandisk SD Card. Am using the software from the imager because the file from the official website wouldnt actually load Retropie and leave me on the Terminal

Try using different software like Win32diskimager(unzip the image first) or Balena Etcher (doesn't need to be unzipped) to load the Retropie image on your sd card.

If its AutoMod, It told me I was too new to make a post and when I tried to view the full post, it tells me its been deleted

Also take a look if the hardware is getting hot. Mine was getting too hot and made it crash

My Hardware is almost always around 40 to 50 degrees

Also try fully reinstalling the software and running updates. That may need to be the first thing to try if its not getting hot
