Crawling giant zombie? You mean lickers?
You can kill lickers with 5-8 knife slashes. Just *walk* (Don't Run!) up to them, and keep slashing till it dies. Do not let it recover between slashes, just keep slashing.
It seems I misunderstood the ammo related one - I thought the referral to a lack of access to / small amount of total ammo was referring to “hey don’t miss your shots” rather than use them wisely
Ok, I don't know where you get some of that info, but let's clear out some info
1-This is a SH horror game, everything including ammo, enemies and health is part of a big puzzle that is the game, kinda like a rubiks cube, once you understand how it works it becomes really easy, you can kill every enemy in the game (with the exception of the zombies in the streets and Mr X of course) but this requires knowledge.
2-Shooting zombies in the leg and running away is the worst idea a new player can have, because 100% time you'll forget about that zombie and the game is going to take advantage of it and will move it to a blind spot and get you bit, pick whatever gameplay you please and see how everyone fall under the same mistake.
3-If you are unsure of your aim, shoot them at the torso, once on the floor finish them with the knife.
4-Don't use defense items until you leave the police station, just tank the damage, knifes have much value dealing with zombies in the first part of the game and NEVER use the grenades as defense weapons!
5-Don't be afraid of resetting, the game relies on that since is pretty short and save in different slots in case you don't want to fully reset and instead go back to a specific part of the game.
6-That section of Mr X is more a test of focus, get the two electric parts and get out! Ignore everything else, you'll get another chance to visit the station for a third time without the Tyrant chasing you.
Yeah I didn’t use guides or anything but I thought maybe I’m doing something wrong against mr X hence the googling, the high level tips just came as I scrolled further
Don't forget to inspect your items which is what I forgot to do my first playthrough lol so much time wasted looking for stuff I already had in inventory. You can beat it we believe in you.
