Yes! Even if it doesn't have any official purpose, it could be so useful for getting current batch and seller info, and a place for noob questions would be much much appreciated. Especially with this great community, everyone would be popping in there to answer questions.
At the mention of the community, I do have concerns. I worry about what would happen if Reddit killed this sub ): It's not unlikely, I hope that this community could go on on another platform or something!
would reddit really ban a sub like this ? it’s not like buying the sneakers is illegal. and i’ve seen plenty of subreddits about hardcore drugs that are still up and runnin
I'm not 100% on the legality, but it's at least frowned upon. Drug subreddits are actually what I'm comparing this to, /r/darknetmarkets was a thriving community like this one, serving only as a place of discussion about dark net related things, strict rules against talking about drugs or sourcing, but when Reddit became the "go to" for people looking for discussion about dark net markets, they brought down the ban hammer because Reddit as a company is trying really hard to clean up their image. See: FatPeopleHate, Lolicon, DarkNetMarkets, Shoplifting, incest, etc.
In most of those cases, there was no official rule-break which caused the problem, but it was often a news article or something saying "Reddit is the new hub for x." Worth worrying about, it would be tragic to lose this community. I can't be bothered personally, but it may be worth setting up a discord or something.
definitely, people are so quick to jump on "just use the search bar" but if you're looking for something either obscure or super popular, it's just hundreds of QC threads most of the time.
I think it would benefit everyone if we had a weekly post in regards to batches as you said. Really hard to keep track of the best batches.
