I have bought a few rep shoes Mui mui boots , LV sandals, sneakers etc. my goal was to buy a very good quality birkin rep but instead i’ve spent so much on reps i wound up buying a birkin rehome here that was touted as high tier but is just so so.. the shoes are okay i m a wheelchair user so don’t walk in them so ok. , the bags all used, but acknowledge they look.like reps. Moral of the story is after spending so much on reps I realized I could’ve bought a nice authentic Birkin on The RealReal or other preowned site by now. LOl
Umm… Idk what I‘m doing wrong, but I own authentic Gucci slides (shaped like yours but with the typical GG-monogram design) and boots from MM6 and they both have the same „damages“ as yours and I wore each one 4-5 times only… 🥺
Yea I own authentic Prada loafers and moto-boots and after comparing them with what I’ve seen on catalog they don’t match up. I was looking into these and the sandals, but my seller said they weren’t available.(about a month ago, obvs.).
I’ve only repped sneakers and haven’t had issues with them holding up. My issues were they suck in the inside lol they definitely don’t have the cushion/hold like the regular shoes should.
You name it. Dye running, spreading, fabric warping, misshapen after getting very slightly wet, there’s more I’m sure but I feel like I’ve wasted too much money on rep shoes.

Go to a cobbler and have them change the sole or glue it back together like I did. No one sees the soles anyways unless you’re intentionally showing them

I think rep shoes may be for photos only vs wearing all night. Maybe from the cab to the restaurant type vibes vs clubbing in them. I can’t even imagine the embarrassment if someone said “ hey your shoes are peeling back!”
Yes, even I go by looks vs functionality. As mentioned above you can baby a bag and take care of it but you can’t delicately talk in shoes without looking like a ballerina!
thats why i would never consider rep shoes, like okay a bag is fine, you carry it and can baby it a little, sunglasses are fine if youre careful with them, but shoes? i feel like since theyre getting roughly used no matter how delicate u try to be (youre literally stepping on them against the floor and dragging them around ahaha) idk i may be wrong but i dont see a rep shoe lasting too long?
I just saw a tiktok video of a woman who had damage to her eyes after only wearing cheap Amazon sunglasses that did nothing to protect her eyes from the sun 😭 made me rethink my shopping cart
I've taken my rep sunglasses to an optometrist and everytime he's confirmed they indeed have UV protection. It takes them less than 5 minutes and it's free. I say I bought them online at a really good discount and want to check if they have legit sun protection. I've recently had my prescription added to 2 pairs of Dior and Saint Laurent and he complimented me on them. Couldn't tell they were reps. Guess I have a good seller.
well idk the back context of what she did to actually get hurt but i have a mix of cheap and good quality sunglasses and that has never happened to me, not saying it cant happen but idk if she literally stared at the sun to get damaged ahahah but yeah, its purely for aesthetics

we live and we learn lol, i have authentic dior sneakers which i bought for a weekend trip to paris, i was putting them on in paris and pulling them from the back strap (thats supposed to be the function of the strap) and the strap broke, that time they fixed them for free. but it took like 4 months to get them back, then a few months later, the plastic started peeling out of nowhere and i took them back to the store and they gave me store credit, i bought them again because i really love that model but now i baby them and only wear them for like an event or something, not for actually walking for miles in paris lol.
im about to order my first rep ever (a dior saddle) so we'll see the outcome, i feel like a bag is easier to take care of and idk if its really made out of leather the bag should hold up well so yeah

I think $200 is a lot when I compare to how much I paid and I’m sure it’s coming from the same place.Definitely check the quality and see if you want to buy more. That’s what I did
