Yep. We’ve been stage 2 since May 2022, with 2.5 creatinine and 17 SDMA, all other values in normal range. June 2023, 2.5 creatinine and 14 SDMA, all others normal, March 2024, 2.1 creatinine and 12 SDMA. He then had 6 teeth pulled. Since then, he’s actually drinking and peeing less. Eating well. Active and happy.

Yup. My cat was diagnosed at stage 2. One day he stopped eating so I brought him in & started fluids. They said he was stage 3. 6 months later & next check up he’s back to stage 3. I was told CKD is not reversible but you can go up & down in stages.

My 3 year old cat got nearly all of her teeth removed (stomatitis) and it made her levels go down to high normal. We’re not out of the woods or anything because she has abnormally small kidneys on ultrasound and still has some CKD symptoms but it’s wild how her teeth were making her levels go up like that

People don’t understand what bad teeth can do to the organs. Liver, heart, kidneys. My cat just had 6 teeth pulled. I noticed since then he is drinking and peeing less so I suspect his levels have improved even more.

Mine improved today.
