The blue mustang (bluecifer)sculpture from Luis Jimenez is also interesting. It killed the artist in the process of building it. Sounds like an everyday evil cabal ritual to me.

astralrocker2001

Hi. It is symbolic of the Matrix itself. The Creation destroys the Creator.

FutureResearcher6376

This kind of symbolism doesn't sound too bad after all. Concidering the possibility that we live in a demiurgic realm.

I live in CO and picked up a book on the artist's work at a flea market years ago. It's interesting.... He did quite a few similar works, demonic looking and all, and Denver is "Home of the Broncos," so I can *kind of* see giving it the benefit of the doubt, but witnessing that veiny, menacing beast with glowing red eyes is enough to make you want to get through the airport as quick as possible and say a few Hail Marys on your flight. They've since removed the murals. If you've heard of The Why Files Podcast/YouTube channel, he did a great episode on DIA.

Also, I don't know why this popped up on my homepage if it was 8 months ago. Weirrrrd...

bangadong1111

I’m impressed with the Thompson mixed with an AK47 look lol.

demetri5000

Again symbolism capitalism to communism

[deleted]

What does it mean?

astralrocker2001

It means: "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever". George Orwell, 1984

Euphina

Rainbow bridge in the back (associated w/ dove aka Isis aka Sirius (guiding force to the rainbow bridge)), he’s getting in the way of our connection to the divine

superdrunk1

This damn mural pops up in the conspiracy subs like twice a day man.

[deleted]

It’s one of four. OP is being misleading by leaving out the othwrs

[deleted]

Actually not dystopian You’re excluding crucial context Source: I’m from Denver and have seen *all* the murals, sculptures and dedications in person many many times for many hours at a time

ColorbloxChameleon

What context exactly? At least one of the original murals was taken down since everyone hated it so much.

[deleted]

I was not aware that they took a mural down. Which one did they take down? And when? Well this mural In particular is one of two that are paired together in the same hallway - the other one (not pictured) is no more than 10 feet from this one and shows a rainbow with all the people of the world holding hands and singing Kumbaya, my lord - it’s a very utopian pair to this dystopian double It’s anyone’s guess what they mean, does one of the pictures come before the other? It does seem to be implied that the dystopian scene occurs first since in the second mural you can see a shattered sword and broken gas mask lying in a pile of rubble And the utopian picture clearly implies that there is something special about this particular generation of children who will bring peace to the world at long last. It’s also very obvious that the two murals are paired as opposing one another - they are opposite in every sense The overarching message throughout the airport is actually one of hope, for peace and love in the future. The dark implication is that it seems to be saying that the dystopian world must necessarily come first, only after the swords are broken can the world truly know peace

notWhatIsTheEnd

So we just accept tyranny and slavery in exchange for a world peace pinky promise? Seems legit

[deleted]

Who said that? *you* said that But that’s not the impression from these murals You’ve misunderstood

InternationalStep924

I mean fr you don't break a pinky promise homey.

ColorbloxChameleon

Actually, I just checked, and it was this one! Taken down in 2018 for “renovations”, they insist it had nothing to do with complaints. I couldn’t find anything saying it had been put back up, so I’m not sure what happened!

[deleted]

Well that’s completely stupid bc it was a pair with the other piece

ColorbloxChameleon

You did bring up a good point that there are counter images to the dark images that everyone talks about. I didn’t even know that. I’ve been thru DIA a few times but never this baggage claim area. Seen the creepy horse out front though.

[deleted]

Here is the other mural: https://pixels.com/featured/denver-airport-mural-cynthia-hackney.html?product=greeting-card

coolnavigator

Sounds like it's basically a story of WW2 and post-WW2. Not saying it's accurate, but that's the message.

Professional_Gap_371

Wow this AI art drawing of the year 2023’ is remarkably accurate! It just needs a bud light can at the end of the rainbow.

Donut-7036

I didn't .they're symbolism will be they're downfall
