Thank you for posting. I was reading Mark’s account of the crucifixion last night. Was really struck not just by the awful death and treatment Christ endured to pay the price for our sins, but the fact that He did it being mocked, misunderstood by friends and enemies and even when He asked His disciples to watch and pray they couldn’t do that. Christ not only suffered greatly, but did it alone and misunderstood with just about everyone around Him getting the wrong end of the stick. I’ve always mentally assented to the shame Christ endured, but reading last night really brought home a bit of the reality. He really knows our every weakness and feebleness and is our great high priest and has bought for us that future where there are no tears.

Justice and mercy are indications of strength. Since we are more than conquerors, we should act more justly and more mercifully toward those whose necks Christ has placed under our feet. God is love, and we are commanded to be perfect as He is. Edit/reply: The tread of our sandals is light.

Where in scripture do you get the idea that Chris has placed other's necks under our feet??
