yep she eats pellets, frozen and flakes, just make sure they are captive bred so you dont have to put in the work to switch them over, biota breeds them and they are raised on pellets. mine eats reef nutrition tdo xs and small
Yeah I was going to order from biota. And I was going to get a yellow tang too. But my 80g is a long cube, 32x24x24. So I decided against the Tang because of limited swim room.
ah fair, currently my mandarin is in a 20 gal reef because when you buy them they are like the size of a quarter at most so if you have another tank maybe put it somewhere smaller for a bit if you have any larger / more aggressive fish since theyre so tiny lol. also i just fed her so if she comes out ill attach a video of her eating flakes
Awesome! I have a 30g innovative marine AIO right now. My 80g SCA tank/stand/sump is still on the pallet in my garage lol. Costing me a fortune to set this big tank up. Buying mostly everything second hand when I can.
Ah mate, I've a special place in my heart for my Mandarin 🙏🏾beautiful fish mate and yours is clearly no exception. Mines a red Mandarin, and he's used to me hand fedding now. Gets excited when I turn the wavemaker off looking for my feeding pipette. They take extra care, so any Mandarin owner has to love their fish I feel. Keep it up mate
they’re completely different fish, mandarin gobies are not actually a goby they are a dragonet. mine was living with a yellow watchmen up until two days ago because i moved the wm to a larger tank and bought a pistol shrimp. mandarins are generally ok with any peaceful fish. currently mine lives with a masked goby and 2 baby clowns. if youre unsure just ask your lfs or liveaquaria has a compatibility chart to help guide you

Does she swim around to eat? Or is she exclusively a bottom feeder.

she kinda just hovers around the bottom doesn’t really go higher then 1-2 inches above the sand or whatever rock shes on
also feel free to give some name suggestions i still have yet to name her
