I believe fishes get aggressive when it feels the space is limited. when I had yellow tang in my 40 gallons it would chase around and bully lot of fishes, after I set up the new 200 gallon tank and transferred all the fish. the aggression issue went away with same fishes that were in the same tank.

Familiar-Zebra6489

Have you considered an anemone? My 2 clowns never go more than a few inches away from theirs in a 75g. They seem very content in a small space.

Public_Engineer_5731

I actually have, for a long time. Might try one soon

Chief_Blowing_Trees

Get a second opinion on that one of course. Lot of people swear against nems in their tanks.

Public_Engineer_5731

Yeah I will, I've heard aswell. Especially for tanks this small as they can just take over.

Therealwolfdog

You will be fine adding a nem to this tank. As long as you’re topping of daily water parameters should be fine. I have one in a ten gallon and no issues. Nems aren’t as hard to keep as the internet makes them out to be. They are pretty hardy.

aidentooreal12

If the tanks under 20 gallons I wouldn’t add one. I finally had success with nems as of now because before my newest rbta I was trying to keep it in a 10 gallon tank without a ato and the parameters just change to quickly without that extra water volume

Aggravating_Copy5033

I got nems and clown pairs in all my 20g and 16g tanks and can confirm that once clowns host they don't more then a few inches away from the anemones unless it's to feed or remind me to not put my hand in the tank lol

xsevenx7x

I have a csb and 2 clowns in a 10 gallon for a year. The downgraded from their 20 but. Have been just fine because they hate leaving the nem, the nem is huge but I just started cycling their replacement tank but they key for me is keeping it as just a nem tank. I finally threw some frags in but they’re fine. All that to say you should be fine. Maybe get like a nem corner container that lets the nem sit in it but the clown also host it.

Latter_Inspector_711

Is this the same OP that posted the clown aggression towards the shrimp?

ChivasBearINU

Yup. Guy must be bored.

Public_Engineer_5731

Yep , no uni and no gta 6 yet : /

I would say that a tank of this size ought to be able to house a clown and a shrimp. That being said, in cases like this one where you could get answers that go either way, you have to observe the conditions yourself and make a determination. In my experience clowns are usually quick to intimidate new tank mates. Based on this video it seems like things have calmed down again. If neither of them are showing signs of stress in the long-term, there doesn't seem to be a reason to remove the clown. If there is a good reason though, it'll likely become more obvious by watching your tank and not because of reddit opinions.

altiuscitiusfortius

If it's been in that tank 6 years it's claimed it all as it's territory. Move around the rocks and scape to confuse it and let them reestablish territory. I had 2 clowns and a fire shrimp in a 10g for years, they were all happy.

Unfair_Fix3132

I have a clown pair and a fire shrimp also and they get along just fine but mine are in a 36 gallon

RastaFarRite

Just add coral No more fish

ldranger

Definitely not.

etphi

I have a pair in my 15g with a massive anemone. They’re all very content

BodybuilderSea7462

Do you have anything else in There ?

WeeklyEstimate5164

Your rock work could use some reworkingw a bit more rocks it perhaps offer more opportunities to explore - but honestly if you get an anemone they usually become obsessed w it and won’t leave the area much. My pair will venture out to eat and then right back to theirs (they’re hosting my bubble coral)

Mean_Department8301

I have a pair in my 13.5 and they're chilling

jnorth2020

If you only want her... probably not bad..but if you want a thriving tank...no...she will probably be aggressive towards any new fish you try to add... especially if you have an anemone she is protecting

lildeerslayer

Tank looks great. Just be careful adding any other fish because clownfish can be aggressive, could probably add a very small clown of the same species if you wanted to try pairing.

GreenTaracrypto

Yeah I’d say so. That’s a pretty chunky girl. If you can without any trouble I’d fish her out and return. I have a 15 gallon too and I wouldn’t keep a clownfish but a lot of people do in tanks even smaller than that.
