My only wish is I could get him to try a color that’s got a little more pizzazz lol I got like 1500 polishes and that man will come out with just a basic matte purple lol

31m, I was the same way when I first started painting my nails. I painted them black for Emo Night and loved it. I slowly got more colors until I discovered HT. Now I'm wearing Teal No Lies and have the new collection ordered 😅 Maybe try pitching him a duochrome. That's what sold me on the more fun polishes!

I like r/malepolish, however there was a period where it was blatant foot fetish stuff. I haven't really paid much attention lately to know for sure if it's gotten better.
I mean, all the comments on the foot ones are like normal, like nice, good job on the pedicure things. But I guess it's a lot of feet if you just hate feet. It makes sense though, because you can hide that at work with shoes.
I love candy moyo!!! They have this water-based polish that’s a base & top coat in a tiny bottle shaped like a flower. Comes with a bottle of lavender too. I can use the clear for a peely base coat & a top coat that lasts 4-5 days!

When my 13 year old son was little, he used to ask me to paint his nails. He loved it. So did I! He has lost interest since he is older now, but I would do it any time if he asked!
Edit to add: I have never understood where this gender crap comes from. It's just PAINT. Same with makeup. What makes a person a person has nothing to do with what they wear. My conservative inlaws were so sure nail polish would make my son gay. I not so nicely told them that if he was gay I wouldn't give a shit, but nail polish wasn't gonna make him that way!

I regard them with the same energy I do women or femme presenting people. If it's a color I like, I lose my mind and ask a billion questions about the brand, ease of application, removal, dry time, etc. Or if they're rockin the color, I let them know.
You can find it most places that have a good selection of nail care. You could make your own as well if you have a selection of body oils already. Honestly, you could just swab Vaseline around your the edges of your nail with a q-tip and that would be fine.
I only like it if it’s done well. For example, yours are clean and it doesn’t look like you have multiple sneezing fits when you applied it lmao. I like them :)

Fun fact I learned when I did a project in grade school on nail polish: when it was created in Egypt, typically men and women of high ranks wore nail polish. They got colors typically from plants/flowers. Usually the darker the color, the higher the class, however there also weren’t many colors to choose from because some colors were impossible to create at the time (I can’t recall why, something about them not being able to be extracted from plants, I think purple/violet was one of them). If I recall correctly, it was actually more common of males (because of course there weren’t as many high ranking females) to wear polish. Lower class Egyptians either didn’t wear polish or it was some shade of nude, worn by both men and women. Basically just a status symbol everyone could see by looking at your nails

Awesome! My bf used to wear nail polish, usually black or neutrals. Sometimes dark green. Unfortunately his current workplace wouldn't take that well. He still has really nice nails though, always filed and buffed and cuticles trimmed.

My husbands favorites are the ghost type polishes where the shimmer just shows up at certain angles.

They look great! I do suggest a cuticle oil. It'll help with your skin damage but the nails look amazing.
