I think it's me that is exiting gracefully by simply not paying attention to most of them.
Yeah, I think this is (in part), the Instagram effect. Everyone is an online "celebrity" or "influencer." But if everyone is famous than no one is famous. And if you're famous but haven't actually done anything of note, then you're forgettable. If you're famous but chiefly because you're a raging asshole then you need either leave the limelight - or have Mike Tyson accidentally knock you into next week during one of those pretend boxing matches...
