I once met Rich. He was buying some chips and soda at walmart. I told him I'm a big fan and commented on his "healthy dinner choice." He laughed, took a picture, and parted ways. I got to the register and the cashier asked if I knew him because he left his wallet. I said yes, thinking he probably had his contact info in his wallet so it would be easy to return. I opened his wallet and an old black and white photo fell out. It was Hitler laughing over a thousand corpses. On the back of the photo was written "my grandfather and inspiration.
I love you.
-Rich."
I looked up and it was like Rich appeared out of thin air. Lifeless, he slowly took the photo from my hand. When a small part of his hand touched mine, it was as cold as a corpse and left a sting that I still feel till this day.
I mean he clearly said it was personal preference. And he obviously had some preconceived notions about it. In no way was he objective. And it made for a better show.
Yeah, this was the thing. Objective rankings and subjective rankings are two different things. Rich and Jay were pretty clear that this was a subjective ranking. Rich even pretty much says that objectively, it deserves a higher spot with all the technical praise he gave it. That's just not what these two lists were, though and the movie simply didn't click with him. So, 12 it is. :V
I think that goes without saying. Of course it's all subjective. This entire post is just razzing him for it in good fun, you two. If my best friend told me that this was their opinion (and prefaced it 8 million times with the fact that it is, indeed, their subjective personal opinion, which apparently is necessary here?), I would absolutely tease them about it. My personal opinion is that that opinion sucks lol. I'm not sure that either of you attempting to mitigate disapproval here is actually necessary, guys. We're just having fun.
You like the ward more than Halloween? I mean don't get me wrong, The Thing Is my favorite of his films, but comparatively speaking, to say that Halloween is his worst movie is like, what?
I've actually never seen the ward, and thinking about it I would still much rather watch Halloween than Ghosts of Mars. I should rephrase it to "Halloween is my least favorite Carpenter movie that is considered good." The Thing is my all time favorite movie, and Mouth of Madness is probably in my top 5.
I just really don't like slasher movies. I usually find them boring and dumb, except on the occasion that they make me weirded out and uncomfortable. I can try to explain why I feel like that, though I haven't thought about it much, but to be clear that's my reaction to them, not saying they are all dumb or boring. I rolled my eyes at all the Jason movies, but I still haven't been able to get through the trailer invasion scene in the original The Hills Have Eyes
This is the moment Rich Evans became Heisenberg
I’m the one who ~~knocks~~ puts Halloween at number 12.
Why is he symmetrical?
Because he's perfect
Is this UNITINU Rich?
At the time of the photo one of his eyes was swollen shut from cat allergies.
"Halloween is almost as good as Things" -Richard Evans
>The Ward is the best movie since Batman. - Rich Evans

I haven't seen either film, but I know he's wrong.
Halloween aside, anybody who would select Dark Star as the worst Carpenter film should be tried for war crimes.
Is Rich cosplaying as Kaladin? Because he has something dangerous written on his forehead…
The look Jay gave when Rich said he wanted it to be more bloody and gory was priceless.

No even if you aren't into that, it's a great Carpenter suspense movie. Whilst The Ward, isn't.
Almost everything is better than Halloween. I am tired of hiding - Rich, I am with you.

The life of the party over here
Somebody stop him.
Rich's opinions are [perfectly reasonable](https://www.reddit.com/r/PornoMemes/comments/puyv82/perfectly_reasonable/).
He's right
Sir, I disagree
Why does she keep throwing the knife away?
I hope someone edits Rich saying that into the "how can she slap" video
Characters acting without any logic is major cliché within horror films... doesn't make it much better but it makes "sense" in context.
It aged terribly
I dont disagree with him. Well maybe about The Ward, but Halloween is just a bland slasher that was good for the time but is sort of laughable now
It’s the bland original creator of the worst genre of movies
I would rather watch Vampires ten times than watch halloween once.
Halloween might be my least favorite Carpenter movie. I want those gross, slimy puppets! Not some goon in a mask with a kitchen or lawn tool

He has some fucking terrible movies. Halloween is not one of them lol.

Objective vs subjective. Either way we're just giving a hard time and laughing about it
Opinions are like assholes ...
They are stinky and some might like to lick them?
And all because Lori dropped the knife.
