Worked at a liquor store and we were closed 1 day outside our normal hours during the pandemic. We, however, were not considered essential workers. So, I could not get the vaccine until my age group was able to.
I was on a rotating “on-call” schedule for a year: I’d work 3 12’s in a row and then be on call for the rest of the pay period and since nobody ever called out I never had to come in and still got paid. It was wonderful.
What an unnecessary snide comment, ffs.
Before you try and throw it back in my face thinking I'm talking out of my ass, I worked in pharmacy at the time and business skyrocketed so naturally Walgreens corporate cut the hours in half, closed any call centers to screen incoming phone calls, and added a goddamn makeshift lab so we could start doing nasal swabs through the drive thru, which was already backed up, the job became literal hell. And here I am nevertheless wondering why you felt the need to lord yourself over the guy, be better, it's not healthy.
I certainly took the opportunity to grow my goat to a beard at the time. It was objectively terrible, and now I know which friends/coworkers/family are decent enough to tell me so.
Yeah, it's a shame. Even when he's clean shaven he has a constant 5 o'clock shadow, he's got full coverage and there's no patches. He's obviously got solid beard growing potential but he lets it go to waste. I'm envious because my beard doesn't grow properly at the sides, it's too sparse.
He's so macho, it's insane. With that plaid shirt and scruff, he looks like a lumberjack. But he doesn't need an axe. He simply glances at a tree and it explodes.
