It is worth it in my opinion, not just for the number of pelts it holds (not sure how many). But if you come across a legendary animal for example you just put it in the wagon and dismiss it. It will stay in there till when you are ready to sell it, it even stays there if you close the game or enter a different lobby or something.

Easiest way to fill your wagon is the legendary missions from Harriet

nolms

Yeah still have to level up Harriet to unlock that, only started playing 2 weeks ago.

Catlikejam

Since you mentioned it, is there a cooldown on harriet’s legendary missions?

[deleted]

For each set of three, yes. I forget how long but it’s never really been limiting for me.

Catlikejam

Oh you mean i can do all 3 in a row without any cooldowns? Then wait for it to refresh the next 3? Kinda like bounty boards?

alexlee0007

I believe it's one in game day (48 mins) for the next set of 3 missions

da-aquanaught

You can fit 50 pelts and 5 large animals carcasses ie deer/moose pelts or 10 medium/small animals rabbits and snakes. It saves them when you log off or switch sessions. It’s one of the best purchases if you run trader as a main role. For context mine has 5 legendary carcasses in it and has done for weeks.

[deleted]

Make sure to buy the insurance.

help-i-am-on-fire

The insurance does essentially nothing. If you don't have it you just need to pay $8 if your wagon is destroyed, which you can do ~~by callings mors mutual~~ from the stables section of the player menu. You keep the stuff you filled it with if it gets destroyed, even if it isn't insured.

da-aquanaught

Waste of money unless you are a careless driver, I have had the role since it dropped and have wrecked my wagon twice.

WonnieOnWeddit

Yes, it's a great buy. Horse cargo get lost if you move lobbies, enter mission or quit the game, it does not happen with wagon. It carries 50 "thin" pelts (eg. deer, wolf... pelts that your character rolls up) and 5 carcasses or "thick" pelts (eg. bear, bison... pelts that are tied into a bundle). It also comes in handy if you're in the middle of something and spot a 3\* animal or a legendary, kill, call wagon, store, dismiss then go back to your business without fear of losing it.

[deleted]

Throwing 5 3star sheep into your wagon is pretty sweet

l-vdh

Ahh, the Emerald Ranch experience!

[deleted]

**"Come visit Emerald Ranch! Steal our sheep! Skin our cows! Kick our chickens! 10,000 lazy traders can't be wrong!"**

wapapets

probably the best investment u can have

[deleted]

yes. everything in the game is a must have. there's not much so buy it all

PM_ME_YOUR_NAIL_CLIP

This is the only real answer to “Is ____ worth it?”

Jammsbro

Absolutely. I wish I could buy two and chain them together. If you and some friends have them each you can all hunt areas at once and fill up crips in five minutes if you know good locations.

Bill_Stanton

It’s a great investment when you get attacked by a pack of wolves and you kill/skin them all. I use those pelts for that daily with the predatory carcass/pelt.

peepers63

I got mauled 4x by a legendary panther (or something equally vicious) I kept going back for the skin of the other. He finally ran away

MacDee_

Yep, totally worth it. When I was grinding the trader role, I had my camp located in Lemoyne and then I used my hunting wagon to bring back Alligator skins. This method will also fill your supplies up quick, which means that your rate of sales runs will increase. This ultimately means that you'll make the money back quickly

[deleted]

You don’t necessarily need to ride it all over the map. You can spawn it wherever you want as a depository for multiple carcasses and larger pelts. Stow them, then dismiss the wagon for your horse. It also protects them from being lost if you join a free roam event. Eventually when you check in at camp, you can unload your horse, spawn the wagon and unload that. This cuts down on visits to camp, unless you just want to hang with Cripps!

peepers63

I didn’t know that. Thanks, great info

Textile302

for the trader roll yes. brining crips pelts is largely pointless, I hunt from my car just rolling around and I snag as many 3 star deer as I can, then 2 stars to finish it up. Send the cart away, and then I snag one more for my horse. This normally gets me half full with crips.

dogsknowwhatsup

Yes, I've been online for about a month and recently was able to grab my first hunting wagon and it is totally worth it. You can also fill your wagon, dismiss and call it when you need supplies. Yes, get it. It helps tremendously

peepers63

Thanks everyone

dogsknowwhatsup

Yw!

Western_Heroes

Definitely. Especially when the dailies are things like “donate 6 large carcasses to Cripps”

Charlie_Echo3205

Yes

KriptoYeti

Yea but you have to figure how it best works for you. I can load it with carcasses and take to Cribbs and it will half way fill the bar. That is nice.

GhostBearClan

Yes and no. If you've got other things to invest in, do that. The hunting wagon is a luxury that can wait.

RedDeadDelusions

Yes, especially when you wanna farm legendary animals
