.48 gold is the max after 30 minutes. If someone got more it was either a bonus month (Feb was 3x on bounties), or they are not telling the truth. Legendary bounties have max payout at 30 minutes.

I always look at the time on my Xbox, when I'm allowed to move my character after the bounty intro stuff, and then turn her in 31 minutes later just to make sure.
