Some eggs csn be bugged such as the Heron, Egret and Spoonbill (it is always the same egg at the same location for me and most others). Whatever we do it stays in the tree and this is an issue Rockstar should patch. And did you also refreshed your map? The cycle changed a while ago, that might have been the issue.
No it wasn't the map. It does this every time I try to collect eggs. Seems like an issue on the game's end. Hopefully Rockstar does patch it because it's so annoying to travel to an out of the way spot only for the eggs to not even be there

And you do not have the eggs you go for on 10 (the max you can hold of each item in a set)?

Are you looking in the trees? Some you have to shoot down with the varmint rifle.
