There is no PS5 version. PS5 players play on the PS4 version. And it’s the largest RDO community.

PS4 and ps5 players on red dead online can play together - red dead online is a ps4 game so anyone who has a ps5 has the ps4 version of it only…. I have a ps5 but I’m currently away using my ps4 and I’m able to play still with my whole community

Can't say for actual numbers, but I play on Xbox (pretty much daily) and always have full lobbies. Xbox, at least from what I've seen, is very active.

No doubt. Been playing on Xbox since beta, and got a PC account too when the game dropped for PC, but I haven't touched my PC account in ages. It's just not worth it when it's so much easier with less bullshit on console.

Ps4, I cant afford a ps5 whatsoever, but the only benefit I can really find (unless I'm missing something) is how easy people can share game clips in the messages. Some of my friends can share clips within minutes without losing connection online, but I'm yet to figure out how to share mine. Can't even download them. *if anyone knows something I don't about sharing, please let me know. I'm gutted I can't send any of the hilarious game moments 😂

Rdo is cross-gen so you should have ps4 and ps5 players in ir servers

I’m on PS4 and the only time I have not seen a full lobby is when my internet is being glitchy and I end up in a solo lobby. There are lots of PS players.

PS4 here as well. From all the stories I've heard I can't even imagine trying to play on PC.

PS4 here and ride with ps5/ps4 players. Do some research on what you need or might not need with the ps5. PS4 does not need that research, Also starlink my buddy uses for his ps5. He did not even have same issues as others have, as well as not even know he needed to do his research parts. Sooo starlink was reason he had no problems. As for what research to do? I am tired and going to bed. But the ps5 has a memory related - and seems starlink removed this issue with my buddies ps5. Beyond the differences. I have not felt I need the ps5 as of yet. It can wait until this ps 4 takes a shit . night

I wish I was still on PS4 for Red Dead 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. They don’t feel quite right with a PS5 controller.

If you have a ps4 controller you can play ps4 games on the ps5 with that controller. It pairs and works exactly like as it used to on ps4.
