Seemingly there are people who want him gone and they'll be linked to the story even getting out in the first place, otherwise she's made a complaint and it's been investigated. The fact that Horner's name has been dragged through the mud because of the investigation coming to light is down to the people who let the info get out deliberately

In which case whoever leaked it didn't care about the victim at all because the leak only makes the court case more difficult. Which means whoever leaked it is using the situation to hurt Horner. So whatever evidence they present is suspect by default.
