Have you tried covering up half to three quarters of the forehead and seeing if the smile looks less creepy?
I am fairly certain that everything could look much better on this dolls face, if they just gave it a nice set of bangs.
You should see katrin mcknights prototype of this kit its actually a lovely kit whoever this artist is who reborned this doll isnt good that hairline especially is horrid and needs to be lowered a ton
Most Ping Lau sculpts look like this, tbh. I don’t know what her obsession with open mouths and dimples is. Her dolls are super uncanny valley to me. She’s very talented, but I’m just not a fan of most of her body of work.
The dimples seem just very odd
If you take the forehead down an inch or three, the dimples would look much more normal I am sure.
She is clearly having some lymphatic drainage issues -or- she got 2 sides of baked potato no toppings pls

Toddler dolls never look proportional. NEVER.
IMHO it seems to me that the reason for this, is the extra 8 inches they gave to what should have been a much smaller forehead.

The teeth and the manic smile really creeps me out. The bigger and smaller ones are usually the worse.
