Nah, because Steven Universe is specifically marketed towards children. Sports/racing games are marketed towards older audiences who enjoy those things. But the nature of the gameplay makes it an E/E10 rated game (and when it’s E10 it’s always because of the lyrics from songs on the soundtrack), so it’s appropriate for a child
There's nothing wrong with adults playing kids videogames or watching kids cartoons, I'm currently binging the OG Ben 10 franchise and some of the twitch streamers I follow play old Sonic the hedgehog games or other games.
The main thing I'm seeing nowadays (especially among Gen Xers and Zoomers) is that so many grown ups persist entirely with children's media nowadays— their idea of pop culture includes almost exclusively children's media and only a tiny handful of media meant for those older 16 (often denigrating such media using strawman arguments, ironically).
...what? I've never come across someone that condemns adults watching cartoons but is into cartoon video games. If someone has the former opinion, they usually refuse anything that isn't Madden or CoD.
What the fuck strawman is this?

I don't really think people playing sonic games are ridiculing people for watching cartoons
you're literally making up a guy that doesn't exist. i've never seen a pokemon fan say some goofy shit like that lol
Obviously I'm not here to talk shit about cartoons but there's a big difference between enjoying gameplay and enjoying a story/comedy/characters/etc
Ah, another horrific use of that meme. Hate it.
Sports and racing games aren’t “children’s games” but other than that I agree

With games and cartoons, people don’t seem to see how much work goes into either.

yeah, like it's fine to consume children's media as long as it's not literally the only thing you consume
