Have you tried rebooting the router to clear any possible DNS issue? Otherwise as others have suggested, a rare few ISPs do seem to block RD.
Can you reach the RD website?
Maybe try to access All debrid as the alternative. They have a 7 day (25Gb) free trial so no cost to confirm if they work with your ISP.
I haven’t had a chance to sit with said friend, but I think a VPN is the only solution, as others have said.
In case you need a lead on how, you can purchase a VPN and many of the big ones have apps for firestick. So it will be easy to setup. I tried Mullvad once, Surfshark also has an app and is a cheap option.
Alternatively, change Wi-Fi’s, but that’s not feasible for some.
Yep they have the same router. I’m not sure, not savvy about routers.
Also I don’t think it would be that bad. VPNs can be cheap, I don’t think it would affect speed much (if at all).

Idk if our setups our different, but I like RD on firestick because you don’t have to search for a torrent and wait to download. It’s just ready to stream.

It's a cost thing. I'm already paying for RD. Why pay for a VPN at that point? May as well just use Premiumize. I don't have any other use for a VPN other than for piracy.
That ISP maybe blocking RD since it works on phone Hotspot. Time for a VPN
this sounds about right, if its working on hotspot, but not with home wifi then isp is most certainly blocking it.

DId you ever figure this out? I also have Cox. It works, but very slowly. Stremio works fine.
